First-rate! We've been going there for years, bought two of our cars there, which we still have (they no longer sell vehicles, alas). Not just expert mechanics, but real car enthusiasts who love fine engineering and know what your car means to you.

Best automotive repair firm in the area, bar none. People even bring cars here from out of state because they know they will get the best service available. If you have a foreign car and don't bring it here for repair and maintenance, you are missing out.

I can't say enough good things about Luke and his Zbylut Motor Works! I've been a loyal customer for years, and every experience has been exceptional. The facility is always clean and well-organized, which immediately gives you confidence in their work.

Luke is incredibly trustworthy and takes the time to explain everything in detail. He provides multiple options for repairs, clearly outlining the pros and cons of each, and ensures I made the best decision for my car. Most recently, I had the front and rear suspension replaced for my BMW X3, and Luke thoroughly explained what was wrong and how he would fix it.

I appreciate that he only uses OEM parts, and his prices are consistently better than the dealers. The peace of mind I have knowing he will never oversell unnecessary services or repairs is invaluable.

I have taken our cars (BMW and Mercedes) to Zbylut for past 4 years and have been very happy with their service. Mercedes dealer wanted to charge me $1000+ to fix my emergency break. Luke fixed it for $100.

Zbylut is the only garage in Amherst that specializes in European cars and Luke sounds like a competent mechanics with strong opinions. We knew that he was not cheap but thought he was someone trustworthy. So when we took our car in for install new tires and oil changes last year, we accepted the $4K bill where Luke did quite a few additional things at his own discretion. Last month, when my wife took the car in to repair a leaky tire and check on squeaky blake sound (which Luke replaced earlier this year), Luke pointed out that the rear coils had cracks and we must replace the coils and the shock absorbers (because they are "worn") for $2K! He charged us $149 for the "diagnosis". We became a bit skeptical and decided to take our car to the dealer and another trustworthy mechanics. Neither found any problem with our rear suspension. This obviously would be the last time we would deal with Luke. Do your research and ask a lot of questions. Otherwise, you may be taken advantage of.

By the way, when my wife decided not to replace the coil and shock absorber, she did report that the car drove really bumpy on the way back (as if the shock/coils were worn). It turned out that Luke pumped all tires to over 50 PSI (see attached photo). This was quite upsetting and not safe. We can only speculate why he did that ...

Update: Luke sent a photo showing some chipping at the base of one of the coils (see photo); so he DID NOT lie to us about the coil. However, other mechanics found it absurd to deem this an issue requiring a $2K repair. In fact, it was not considered something that required any repair at this point by the dealer or a third mechanics. In any case I revised my rating from 1* to 2* and set the record straight here. Everything else is factually true.

Luke and Jake have been great! They are specialists in European vehicles and have been a blessing for our sprinter van. So few are able to work on them, we drive 2hrs to Zbylut. We truly trust them and and haven’t been let down.

Fantastic place for any European Car repair. Luke and his team are amazing and do things right. I’ve had him service two BMWs and a Land Rover of mine and he’s always been spot on with what was wrong and what was needed to fix it. Be prepared to spend more than most independent shops, but less than a dealer. It’s worth every penny though, and he stands behind his work. I’ve known him for years and continue to refer friends to him. If you’re in the area and need someone who knows what they are doing with your car, he’s the one.
