After my swim in the pool I went to shower .I have a spinal cord injury and need an ADA shower stall with a seat and HAND HELD shower head.
I slid the bench into the shower stall. There is No handheld shower.head.
A handheld shower.head with hose is $30.
Although it's summer it was a cool day and there was No Hot water.

Strict workers, individual changing rooms? No music or fans in weights area, can’t close weight room doors to have privacy and be mindful of others. Unfortunately I am ranking this place very low due to every time I have been there it’s been a less than pleasant experience. Standards were set THROUGH the roof after being a current member at the Mason City YMCA. They are not the same whatsoever. Not saying all staff there are bad apples but I had my fair share of entitled conversations with a select few which bring my rating down significantly.

Be aware that two men, dressed like women are allowed to use the woman's bathroom. This is what their website says,

"Our Mission

To put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all."

They don't practice Christian principles

Really nice facility for such a small community. The gym, locker room and pool are always clean and well maintained. The have fantastic fitness equipment including a ton of rogue stuff. We enjoy every visit.

Clean, well lit, locker rooms. friendly people, can interact or not. pool and hot tub nice, walking track above gym gives view , many exercise machines to choose from, instruction on use available, weight room nice class rooms pleasant ...overall good experience

I have been in the afternoon water aerobics for 6 years and just like that they canceled it I hope they have enough people to make up the difference. Don't think this was fair to us that use this facility.
