My son loves to take piano lessons from Ms. Wood. She does a good job with him and encourages him to challenge himself. He has learned so much this past year. My son has also taken piano lessons from Ms. Wood's daughter when he was younger and loved the lessons and learned a lot from her too.

My son's piano teacher of 6 years moved out of state last year. We feel very lucky to have found Lauri Wood to take the reins. He has been a student of WMS for one year now. He's 13 and, although he's involved in many sports and school activities, his love for the piano hasn't faded. She has been a wonderful mentor and teacher who challenges him yet allows his creativity to shine. I highly recommend Woodridge Music Studio/Academy!

We love Woodridge! I have one daughter that takes Voice lessons for 2 years and Piano lessons for almost a year. My other daughter started Violin lessons in the fall. We have enjoyed seeing them grow in skill and confidence. The staff at Woodridge Music Studio love what they do and encourage my girls to practice and improve! We have been a part of Woodridge Music Academy for several years, but we recently started taking private lessons through Woodridge Music Studio in the spring of 2024. We are used to the quality and talent Lauri provides to the choir and fine art classes each year and her private studio is equally impressive. Lauri runs a top-notch studio with very talented teachers assisting with different instruments. She works with professionals in their field to provide a variety of musical instrument instruction. We are currently working with Isaac Mock for cello and he is an outstanding teacher. Very encouraging and positive in his teaching style. Our 9 year old is doing well and truly looks forward to his lessons each week. As our children get older, we will definitely be using the studio for more music instruction. The ability for Lauri to have multiple lessons occurring at the same time is also very helpful for families with multiple children. If you are looking for your child to grow musically in any area, please consider Woodridge Music Studio for private lessons or Woodridge Music Academy for group classes.

Martinsville is blessed to have a high quality music studio such as Woodridge. I took lessons in middle school but after I retired I wanted to take up this interest again and learn new skills. My grandchildren take lessons at Woodridge and Laurie was willing to teach me, too. Over the past year and a half I have learned so much from her! She is a very skilled, knowledgeable, and patient teacher. Regardless of your age or skill level, I am confident you would be pleased with your experience at Woodridge.

Excellent and fun music education program. My elementary-age kids have taken lessons here for two years and I can’t believe how much progress they have made. They LOVE music and their lessons. I even started my preschoolers in WMS preschool lessons and they are having so much fun and already developing their sense of rhythm. I’m so happy with all my kids are learning with Woodridge.
