Wauwatosa School of music has taught my son so much! He initially joined for the purpose of learning how music theory works and how it is utilized in different music genres, but left knowing so much more. My son loves to play the guitar but after Wauwatosa School of music he has grown to love the piano as well. He had a smile on his face after every lesson with Ryan. I would highly recommend!

My daughter has been going to the Wauwatosa School of Music for 6 years now, taking guitar and piano lessons. She absolutely loves it there!!! Her progress has been amazing and we can't say enough nice things about the owner Cory. The school also provides a summer camp teaching song writing and the workings of recording in a studio environment which my daughter also attended. The school also provides opportunities for the kids to play in front of audiences at different locations around the city; Tosa Fest, Mo's Irish Pub, Steaming Cup, Hart Fest, etc... I guarantee your child will thrive and enjoy every second of their lessons here at this music school. I fully recommend the Wauwatosa School of Music to anyone!!!

Our 7 daughter started piano lessons with Bethany at the Wauwatosa School of Music over a year ago. She has loved going to every single piano lesson and is always excited to show us what she has learned. Cory's approach to teaching music, in the language of each child, is fantastic.

Such a great place for music lessons! The owner (Cory) is super helpful and nice. My son has been taking drum lessons since the summer with Jonathon and he’s the best! He’s so good with kids and has a way of teaching that builds confidence while still making it super fun. My son is a big fan!

I have always wanted to learn to play the guitar and at 42 years old I began taking privat lessons with Cory at the Wauwatosa School of Music. It has been a fantastic experience. My now 10 year old son began taking lessons with Cory at the same time and has since surpassed me in his skills! 😀 You get to pick what songs and types of music you want to play and they create the sheet music to match or challenge your skill level. My son especially loves that they offer multiple public performances throughout the year to show off his skills. He gets to be a real rock star. In addition to guitar, they offer voice, percussion, piano and other string instrument lessons. I fully endorse this business.

We love Wauwatosa School of Music! It's great seeing my 10-year old pick up and learn songs from Weezer, the Beatles, and the White stripes on his electric guitar! The concerts have been very fun to attend, to see all the kids have a moment in the spotlight! The instructors are interested in the kids and flexible so the kids can also participate in their other sports activities. Highly recommend.

I recently took lessons to learn ukelele from instructor Ryan Johnson. He gave me everything I needed to continue learning on my own time, and come back for more advanced instruction. I highly recommend the Wauwatosa School of Music and Ryan, for anyone who wants to learn ukele, guitar or any instrument--- no matter what your age or level of experience. Thanks Ryan!

What makes this school unique is that students receive solid music theory and instruction paired with opportunities to learn and perform fun songs of their choosing to keep lessons from feeling like a chore. The twice per year concerts is where you'll really be bowled over - full on rock concerts at local restaurants/pubs where the students play in bands with each other on songs they've been working on individually. The results are impressive - and thoroughly entertaining. Giving young musicians an opportunity to perform on that scale with other musicians (a skill in it's own right) is a priceless one. This is the place to go if you want to see an interest in music blossom and skills develop.
