I took voice lessons with Kat for about three months and the experience has been amazing! I can totally see improvement in my voice and the lessons were really engaging and fun. After having tried a few voice teachers back in Louisiana and not seeing any improvement, it was such a joy working with Kat who is extremely knowledgeable and cares about your progress. 100% recommend!

Kat and Rob are absolutely delightful and professional voice/music instructors. I have been taking voice lessons with Kat since 2009. She is an amazing vocal coach. I have improved in many aspects such as stage performance, and my voice has without a doubt gotten stronger. She has a very good way with approaching teaching vocal technique. She is very kind but strict and extremely professional. My 13 year old daughter takes voice lessons with Kat and absolutely loves her. I saw a difference in her voice within the first couple of weeks. She is really patient and tries really hard to help her reach her goal not only with her lesson but also searching and finding information that can help her. Our daughter started taking classes with Kat at their Port Washington location when she was 7 years old and her growth has been amazing! I have taken voice coaching sessions from Kat this year (2016). I have to say first that Kat is the sweetest person. I had never taken private vocal coaching sessions before so I was a little nervous. I had searched on the Internet to find the person that was a best fit for me and what i needed to learn. That's when I came across Voice Academy. I read Kats bio which was very impressive. I also like to hear a coach's voice when singing and Kat did not disappoint. My decision was made. The first day Kat made me feel very comfortable. I found Kat to be a wonderful coach. She gave me some great techniques for my singing. I am a gospel singer who wanted to sing with more clarity and to increase my range and also to learn breathing techniques. Kat helped me to bring out all of these in the 10 vocal coaching sessions that we had. Even my sisters tell me that they can hear a difference in my voice and my music ministry leader gave me a nice compliment on a song I sang one Sunday morning. With all of the tips and techniques Kat has shown me I am becoming a better singer. I will soon begin planning for a second music CD and this time I will have everything I need in my arsenal to make it great. Thanks Kat.

Voice Academy NYC is the best! When I was seeking out professional vocal training for my daughter, I wanted only the best. I searched and searched for the perfect place. I found it with Voice Academy NYC. If you could only hear for yourself the incredible difference in my daughter's voice in just the past six months since she started there. She has also grown leaps and bounds in her confidence and performance skills. It is truly remarkable. Kat and Rob are both phenomenally talented. My daughter has worked with both of them. Since we are from KY, my daughter takes Skype lessons at least once a week, sometimes more, if she is preparing for a show or audition. We also travel to NYC as often as we can, so she can take in as many classes as possible while we are there. This arrangement has worked out beautifully for us. One thing we love about Kat is, she is a perfectionist when it comes to voice. If my daughter is struggling with pitch or dynamics in a song, she customizes daily exercises to strengthen/correct my daughter's voice in those areas. She is so great to work with. She has also helped my daughter prepare for several auditions. She goes above and beyond to help in any way she can. One of our favorite things about Rob is, he is spectacular with music arrangements. He can edit songs for you in a heartbeat. He also has a super fun personality. Another characteristic that I must mention about Rob is, he is an encourager. My daughter always leaves each lesson from Voice Academy feeling she has truly accomplished something great. The encouragement she has received along the way, has made an incredible impact on the goals she has set for herself. Voice Academy NYC also provides performance opportunities. My daughter loved participating in the student showcase at the Bitter End over the summer. She enjoyed it so much. We are looking forward to continuing our journey with Rob and Kat. My daughter continues to see daily improvement in her voice and performance skills.
