I inherited a 100+ year old home that hadn't been updated since city water and electricity was first tapped in. Vincent Abell Contracting truly rebuilt my house, adding on an additional bedroom and bath. They finished my house in 2017, now, 7 years later, I can say their work is solid. I have no complaints, their workmanship was flawless. If I ever have to remodel again, I'll be calling Brad. They are the best.

We hired Vincent Abell Contracting to put in a large covered deck for us, then hired them back for a shower install the next year.

I have worked with several contractors before on this and previous homes. I apparently have high standards few can meet. These guys were really good. Nothing is perfect, but they sure tried to be.

My deck is gorgeous and solid. Everything it should be. They were flexible and helpful and professional. They also provided and architect to design the deck to meet our needs. I had some concerns after the build was done and they were paid (not saying they did anything wrong, but some things I would have liked to have been done differently). They bent over backwards after the fact (and after they were already paid) to make us happy. Including spending more time and materials on my project.

I would literally use these guys for anything they would want to do for me. Great experience.

Also, their quotes were either in line or less expensive than others for the deck project.

Definitely earned five stars.

Vincent Abell is a man of integrity and raised his son, Brad who now runs the company to be the same. These are special people.
With Vincent Abell Construction you will have a pleasurable experience, you will have a better quality project and the value will be there from fair pricing, better quality and risk elimination.

They manage their projects carefully and daily. They often use their own people to do much of the work with superb quality, and they sometimes use the best subs if that is in the client interest.

My wife and I have built and remodeled many homes that all went well, but Abell provided the best experience by far.

When we considered the builder we were going to use re: a large and varied home remodeling project, after a great deal of research, we narrowed it down to three well known builders in the Louisville market.
The first builder raved about their quality but after visiting their sites and studying their quality specifically it was far from acceptable.
The second builder had a fine team but their pricing was too high and we turned away from them primarily because their documentation and financial draw schedule was strongly in their favor…. Under any major problem-issue, they positioned things to always be in control, with their clients in a weak and vulnerable position.

Abell had the balance of all things that can only come from good people that live fair lives and that have vast construction experience, committed to quality. Abell would not know how NOT to provide quality work at a very fair price and they would only know how to provide a contract that was fair, and win-win for themselves and their clients.

Finally, my wife and I were in a relationship with Abell’ phenomenal supervisor and their people almost daily for nine months…. Every interaction was wonderful… This is a rare thing on large home remodeling project. Any prospective customer considering a remodeling project that does a deep analysis of home construction quality, value and processes will choose Abell…. And they will be super-glad they did.

Our Abell remodeled home won a major annual award from the Home Builders Association specifically because of the 360 degree well managed project by Abell. This home has received an incredible number of compliments from its community, and has been a big source of pride for me and my family.

Brad’s crew replaced rotting columns on my front porch and then painted the porch and windows. They did some repairs on wooden garage doors and then scraped and painted the doors and windows on the garage. They were hard workers, didn’t waste time, were friendly and polite, and did a great job.

We are extremely happy with our experience with Vincent Abel Contracting. We hired them for a very large job to remodel several rooms in our home. We consistently receive compliments on the transformation and attention to detail in the workmanship especially the bathroom tile and fireplace mantle. The work was completed several months ago and we haven’t had a single problem with anything. My expectations were absolutely exceeded.

Brad, Terry, Richard and Matt were very nice, hard working and easy to communicate with. I had no worries knowing Terry was onsite for all the key milestones which were often daily. I knew Terry had everything under control. I will hire them again without hesitation.

I contracted with VAC to build a deck in late October 2022. It was supposed to take two weeks to construct and be completed before the holidays. I didn't hear from them again until mid January 2023. Brad was very easy to work with. My old wood deck was demolished by Brent, who, with help from Isaac, built the new composite deck. Brent's work is excellent and he went above and beyond to build us a beautiful deck. All the edges and steps are trimmed so that only finished edges are showing. The deck was finished first week of February and is absolutely gorgeous. I would highly recommend Vincent Abell Contracting.
