I found myself 2.5 hours away from home when my car unexpectedly wouldn’t start. AAA recommended Triton Automotive as their service location, so I had my car towed there Monday night.

The staff were always kind and respectful when I called, and I appreciated that. However, my experience overall was disappointing due to a lack of proactive communication and a misdiagnosis of what was really wrong with my car.

I called Tuesday morning to confirm my car had arrived and explained my situation, emphasizing that I was far from home and hoping for updates as soon as possible. Unfortunately, I didn’t hear back that day, when they had told me they would touch base with what the issue was, and had to call again Wednesday afternoon. At that point, I was informed that rodents had chewed through the wiring harness, and because they were very busy, they likely couldn’t address it until Friday.

By Monday afternoon, after still not hearing anything, I called again only to learn that they were unable to handle the repair and my car needed to be towed to a dealership. This was frustrating, as I had to coordinate yet another tow and further delay the process.

While the team was polite and professional during phone calls, I was disappointed by the lack of follow-up on their end. Despite taking my number multiple times, I had to initiate all communication. To make matters more frustrating, the dealership has since determined the issue wasn’t a wiring harness but rather a faulty module from the manufacturer.

I understand that businesses can get busy, but better communication would have made this situation much less stressful and the repairs could’ve been expedited.

I’m hopeful this is an outlier situation as the gentleman that I spoke to seemed very kind; I just wish it had been a different experience for me

Great service, price, and communication. Left my car while I traveling, communicated via email as needed, and repairs were completed before I returned home! Very pleased with all aspects!

The entire crew at Triton have been helpful and explained what repairs were a now thing and what could wait. The pricing was fair and reasonable. I would recommend them and I will return!

Triton Automotive was able to take our minivan last minute when the alternator went out. It was a holiday weekend and they were busy, but they still took it. Everyone I spoke to on the phone was notably polite, and friendly. They had great customer service, worked over hours to get the van taken care of, going above and beyond. Absolutely recommend. We have continued to take our van to Triton and every interaction we have had with them has been very positive. Highly recommend!

Very nice people, will show you the issue and fix it up! They were able to squeeze me in at the last hour of the day when my Jeep wouldn't start and figure out what was wrong. Will definitely go back

I will NEVER recommend TRITON AUTO to anyone.

I’ve had nothing but issues since July! My A/C went in my car and I had it diagnosed at triton for $110, which they told me if I got it fixed there that that amount would go towards my bill for fixing it. Turns out it was the evaporator coil… I had them replace it. The owner also said my remote car start was put in kind of bad and that I should have it removed, I said okay go ahead and if there was any way he could put one in and I can pay for that, he said no that they don’t specialize in those and that he can only take it out, So I went with that. It was not cheap. I went to pick up my car and asked about the parts he took out and if I could have them, he told me it was all set that he actually fixed it and it was fine. I went over my receipt after that and noticed that no where did it show my original $110 for diagnosing was put towards it. I had to call and ask where it came off, they forgot, I had to drive back down and get reimbursed. Then I noticed the whole air panel wouldn’t turn on for a whole two minutes after the car was started… and that if I left on my AC when I turned off my car and went to start it with my remote car start, it wouldn’t come on with the car. I had to bring my car back to get it checked out, they said they fixed it - on the house…. I went to check everything over and the heat was now not working….

I had to set up yet another appointment with them to get that diagnosed… then another appointment to get it fixed. They called me when the part came in and I dropped off my car. They called me a couple hours later to tell me the wrong part came in and I had to pick up my car and make yet ANOTHER appointment. Why wouldn’t they make sure it was the right part first?!!! So then I bring my car in again and he told me he’d give me a loaner… which was odd because in the beginning I asked if they did loaners and he said no. They gave me a shit box car that when I left the shop I realized the tire pressure lights were on, BOTH front tires were at a PSI of 20 and 26 when it should have been 33… and also the inspection sticker was 1.5 years expired. When I called and told them that he said it was fine cause it had dealer plates and I wouldn’t get pulled over 🙄🙄 then when my car was ready I checked it all over and made sure the heat and AC both worked, luckily then did. I didn’t think to check my remote car start… but when I tried it the other day, it doesn’t work! I called on Friday at 8AM to tell them about it, he said he’d call me back after he asked the boss what happened… I didn’t hear from them the same day and it was 4PM so I called them again… he said sorry and would contact his boss and get back to me after the weekend. Guess what? NOTHING!!! I called today and said I haven’t heard from anyone yet, he said sorry that they’ve been busy and forgot. He said he’d have to call me back in a few minutes as to which he did… and he said they weren’t even anywhere near the wires for that, sorry. And that was it. I spent over $2,000 with everything… and the I’m still left with things not working…Legit told me he didn’t specialize in remote starts, but told me he “fixed it”…. don’t specialize in it? Don’t touch it! They fooled around with the remote car start after telling me they DONT specialize in them, it worked once and hasn’t worked since!!

Called triton 10/28/24 and scheduled an apt to replace my PCV valve in my 2018 Rav4 and an oil change for 11/7/24 (earliest they could get me in).

I explained to them I purchased this car about 2 1/2 months ago, and the car has been burning oil. I've been very stressed about it and was advised by the dealership I purchased the car from to replace the PCV valve.( No, the dealership would not help me out, sadly)

I got a quote from triton for around 120$.

Dropped my car off around 6:45am so they had the day to work on it. I was called at 1pm and told that they would need to take out my Intake manifold to replace the PCV vavle and that it would be a long job, about 4 hours and that it would cost around 500$.

Obviously, I wasn't happy, but I said go for it after they told me they could have it done the same day. This this is the 3rd oil change I've had to get since having the car only 2.5 months, i really wanted to see if this would fix my problem and I waited almost 2 weeks to have this done.

I got another call at 3:30pm and was told that the job was too big and we just did the oil change and your car is ready to be picked up.

Why would they call me at 1pm to confirm with me the price change and the job complicity if they weren't going to be able to do it?! I waited almost 2 weeks for this appointment, dropped my car off before they opened, and they just wasted my time.

There is absolutely no reason why I wasn't called sooner to be told the job wasn't getting done.
