My husband and I recently purchased a home in Portsmouth Rhode Island. I was lucky enough to find out about Yoga for All on the beach on summer mornings during this time of transition for our family. Pastor Shelly and the others welcomed me with open arms and I am excited to know that the Sacred Center will be a part of my new community! The quality of the instruction is superb and the cost is incredibly reasonable. I am amazed at the offerings here and the Sacred Center gave me hope that we will be living amidst others who are compassionate and caring towards others.

The Sacred Center is a wonderful, welcoming place to practice yoga. It is the perfect place for people of all levels and ages. Classes are offered for children, teens, experienced yogis and even chair yoga for a more gentle practice. All of the instructors here are super! A special shout out to Kate and of course Shelley (the owner). I've also participated in the woman's book club which meets every two weeks and is an evening that includes gentle yoga, book discussion and a short closing meditation. Don't be afraid to just walk in - you will be embraced here!

The Sacred Center is located at the campus of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church on East Main Road. A welcoming, spacious, and hospitable gathering area leads you into the large glass chapel with sweeping views of the stunning property. It’s beautiful any time of day. The classes are more affordable than any traditional yoga studio I’ve seen and offers exceptional hospitality, yoga for all abilities, dance, healing opportunities, retreats and discussion groups. Shelley does an amazing job of making the atmosphere, classes, and discussions accommodating to everyone. If you’ve lived on Aquidneck Island for a long time or are just visiting, check out the website and make a visit!

I have always been so nervous to go to any place to try yoga...I've never actually done it in front of people ever so my anxiety was super high! When I 1st entered the sacred doors of The Sacred Center.... I was welcomed with open arms & such a warm, loving embrace by Pastor Shelley!! The atmosphere is so warm & inviting! Pastor Shelley was so patient with me as I am not at all flexible, lol! This has become my new favorite place & will be here weekly....and more than that if my schedule allows it.

Shelley Dungan --REVEREND Shelley -- is one of the most inspiring, healing and supportive Yoga and Mindfulness teachers I have ever met. My young adult sons and daughter have attended Shelley's Beach Yoga as well as classes at the
indoor chapel location in Portsmouth. Not only is the Yoga gentle or as lively as each individual seeks it to be, but Shelley's readings before and after class begins and ends are amazing. We always leave the class refreshed, calmed, uplifted. Part of the reason we love Aquidneck Island
is Shelley's shining spirit and terrific yoga experience.

In attending the Gentle yoga classes over the last year as a novice yogi , I’ve found Rev Shelley extremely warm, welcoming & knowledgeable. The experiences have been consistently positive, relaxing & moving. I would highly recommend The Sacred Center for yoga for all!

I really enjoyed my visit here. The building is beautiful, it instantly put me at ease. As did everyone there, they couldn't have been more friendly. My fiance and I took a partner yoga class and had such a great time while also relaxing and connecting with each other. Shelley is a wonderful teacher and pleasure to be around. I'm looking forward to many more events here.

I highly recommend the Sacred Center. I came here not knowing anything about yoga. I was a little nervous in that I didnt know anyone or what I was doing. Everyone from the teachers to the students were so welcoming. I am
proud to say I am a regular student and love that each time I attend a class I meet new people as well as returning people. Such a great community and such a variety of classes!
One of the few places I’ve been to where I know I am genuinely surrounded by other true caring people.
