We had an amazing experience renting from the new Hurrah Players TV and Film Academy! The space was very professionally set up, well stocked and added bonus everything we needed was all on one floor! This made our production process run smoothly and had us comfortably set up in one place! We greatly appreciated getting to use such a great space for our TV show in development! The crew was phenomenal to work with and the space was just perfect! The area was safe, secure and very conveniently located. Michael was incredible to work with and we will definitely be utilizing them again! Thank you all so much! Our talent and staff had a great time!

On a separate note, this space being available for local students with interest in theatre and film is an incredible opportunity! So much thought was put into this space and into helping expand the skills and talent of Hampton Roads! This will be a strong addition to the community and will promote incredible opportunities!

My daughter (12) loved attending the Hurrah Teen summer camp this past summer! They used classes & activities to teach the kids about musical theatre and productions. She really genuinely enjoyed herself and even though it’s a little more expensive than most camps, it was totally worth every penny. The campers learned SO MUCH in two weeks and the final show that the kids put on for parents/familys/friends was really good!! Hands down recommend this camp for any kiddos interested in musical theatre and/or acting!

My son attended a recent camp at The Hurrah Players and I couldn't be more pleased with the experience. Everyone was so friendly and inviting. He made a ton of new friends and got a chance to try out a bunch of stuff he would've never known he enjoyed it it wasn't for camp. Hugh Copeland is a local treasure! The Hurrah players have been an amazing part of our daughters life. She was accepted immediately by her peers and teachers. The class quality is just top notch. The teachers engage the kids with an energy that really draws them in and makes them want to learn and they have so much fun doing so. So thankful for everything Hurrah does.

My girls ages 5 & 7 just had the pleasure of attending Spring Break Camp with the Hurrah Players. It is a great place to go and my girls keep talking about it and want to go back. Everyone was so kind and knowledgeable and the thought of producing such fun performances with children in five days is nothing less than astonishing. Counselors were great and I felt very at ease dropping off the girls each day to help them learn the importance of the Arts. We will definitely be back!

As a family that has attended several plays that the Hurrah Players has performed, and was looking forward to our child starting sessions with the Hurrah Players gradually, we will never spend another dime supporting this program. $425 for ONE class for 8 weeks (plus the $50 enrollment fee) is absolutely absurd. While you may offer ‘unlimited’ classes for that rate, not everyone’s SCHEDULE allows them to take the 3 classes offered for their child’s age (2 of which fall on the same night). So no, it was not a budget issue as you very rudely wanted to make it seem like, Lisa. Maybe you should refrain from trying to shame families, especially in today’s economy. I’m sure very few families will justify spending $60 a week for a single class. ‘Have yourself a good ol’ day,’ Lisa, or better yet, have the day you deserve.

Hurrah Players’ puts on amazing productions. Love that it is a family theatre. Everyone is so kind and respectful. My daughter has been a Hurrah Player for almost 2 years and she loves every minute of it! I have seen such an improvement in her vocal, dancing and acting. Highly recommend!
