Absolutely amazing pottery studio! The staff here are not only incredibly friendly but also highly professional and knowledgeable. They go above and beyond to ensure you feel comfortable and supported, whether you’re a complete beginner or an experienced potter. The studio itself is cozy and welcoming, with a warm atmosphere that inspires creativity.

Whether you’re looking to pick up a new hobby or refine your skills, this place is a true gem. Highly recommend!

The most wonderful staff! Signed up for both one-night classes for beginners (one on the wheel and one hand building). Brought family and it was a great activity and a few weeks after class we went to pick up our mug from the hand building class. I made an octopus mug which holds tea and a biscuit. Instruction was clear, and you could make something simple or complex. When we returned for the wheel class we were more nervous because it’s harder, but Kyle was super patient, gave clear instructions and offered as much or as little help as you wanted. Can’t wait to see how our little bowl comes out in a couple weeks! Studio provided all the tools, which was super convenient. We will try to sign up for a few week course in the future!

The Clay School has become a home away from home. It’s the most welcoming place to go and be creative, surrounded by fun and encouraging people. I have been going there for over 7 years. Starting as a total beginner and new mom needing an outlet, it provided the supportive community that I needed. I am so grateful to have found The Clay School and love all the friends I have made there. I highly recommend it and tell everyone I know how special this place is.

The Clay School is awesome!! I started here over 3 years ago, brand new to pottery. I signed up for a class and came to love wheel throwing. The studio is so spacious and has everything you need to get creative. Kirsten offers a bunch of classes where I built my skills and learned lots of different, cool techniques. Would highly recommend The Clay School whether you're seasoned or brand new to pottery.

The Clay School has been such an amazing studio to work in since I moved to the area in July. Kirsten and everyone else that works there are so welcoming and always willing to give their feedback or advice. The studio space itself is great, with many wheels and work spaces to zone out for hours with your hands in clay. I'm so happy to be creating at The Clay School!

We love The Clay School. Excellent teaching staff and it is a super fun place to create for all ages and all levels of experience. Plenty of very creative and friendly people in the studio. 24/7 open studio hours to work on your own, can't be beat!

I've already taken two classes and I'm signed up for next semester too.
I was looking for a place to explore more of the possibilities clay, and I was lucky enough to discover The Clay School; it has to be one of the seacoast's best kept secrets! Everything is designed to work smoothly. From the variety of patient and very knowledgeable instructors, the many options for different class times, to the hassle-free online system for reserving a time to work independently, at almost anytime of day or night. (Where else can you find that opportunity ? ! ... practically nowhere!)

The classes include the use of myriad of glazes, and the kilns are almost always running, which means that you can get your bisque-ware or finished pieces back amazingly quickly. They are also very consciencous about dealing with Covid, everyone has to be vaccinated and wear a mask. And everyone works together to keep the facility as clean as a ceramics studio could possibly be.

As you can tell I can't say enough good things about this class\studio space. The only downside is how quickly the classes fill up. So if you want to sign up you better do it as soon as possible.

Amazing teachers and ceramic community. You can go in to work on your projects whenever it suits your schedule, which I love. I've been taking classes there for 6 years now.
