Was invited to the studio to lay down some acoustic guitar tracks by a local artist. The engineers are open minded, willing to listen and the studio was quality. Awesome experience.

I recommend this studio full heartedly as a self taught musician and a over all artist, it was a great experience.

Controversy

As an artist who has been recording for over 21 years even compared to studios I've recorded in at Chicago, south bend, and surrounding areas that were supposed to be top of the line I always just felt i was just another guy here at their studio doing another song leaving me feel i wasnt valued as an artist or maybe i wasnt up to the standards for their studio and left with tracks I felt were average overall. That being one factor....... scheduling and my budget being another factor and the endless amounts of services they have to offer to an artist and not just a studio recording music. I can go to one place and have all my needs met. Pretty much anything you would need as an artist they offer to you for very competitive prices. The prices are more than fair and i never feel one bit questionable with any money ive invested into my music using their studio or services . Mike Dilla and LaidLaw have made me feel like I have been part of the Laidlaw family for years. Always an atmosphere with good vibes and good vibes bring good music. They let me be as creative as I want but also make me feel they value me by giving me opinions and advice on what could make my mix sound even more improved or suggestions from what they have found to work in certain situations with other artists or from past experiences. Never been so satisfied with the final mixdown and have had music of such great quality. If you didn't make a hit song leaving Laidlaw studios then you as an artist still have time to grow because I see nothing less than near perfection and most of all quality sounding music that any artist would be proud of.
