My son is a member of Texas Cellos, and it truly has been one of THE BEST experiences he’s had! This talented group led by Mr. Joseph Kuipers has enriched his life and ours and he has learned and grown tremendously in the time he has been with them! His one regret is that he was not introduced to them earlier. Mr. Kuipers clearly has a passion for music and this beautiful instrument. Through his wealth of knowledge, experience, guidance, and humility, he has had a positive impact on these students. He clearly relishes and rejoices in each of their successes as only a true and dedicated teacher would! Texas Cellos has allowed my son the opportunity to learn not just from Mr. Kuipers, but to also meet and learn and play with other talented professional cellists and students at unique concerts and events, that he would otherwise not have been introduced to. It has been an overall rewarding experience for my son who fully enjoys and appreciates being part of this amazing group, as he continues to learn and develop as a cellist!

Texas cellos is a great unique experience that a young cello student would benefit from. My son has been playing with them for several years and has expressed that some of his fondest memories of playing the cello has been playing with them. He has the opportunity to work with great instructors and play with very talented peers. The group has played in a cave, with the TCU orchestra and at a variety of venues. I highly recommend any cello student to join and be part of the Texas cellos.

I had an absolutely fantastic experience working with this group every time we went out to perform. The unique experience of growing in an environment along with other cellists my age is something I will always be grateful for. Joseph Kuipers has lead this group to perform high level pieces in a short period of time, and I believe it’s a matter of time before TCS is on the cello map worldwide.

Under the guidance and direction of Joseph Kuipers, a world-renowned cellist, the Texas Cellos is a group of impassioned, disciplined and ambitious musicians who possess the unique ability to incite their audience to share their passion for all genres of music. I had the pleasure of attending their concert at the McKinney Cotton Mill last Summer, which featured songs by Radiohead and Metallica, along with movie theme songs. Any opportunity to bask in their love of music and the amazing sound that emanates from their collective artistry should not be missed.
