My husband and I didn't have prior experience to being professionally photographed but we really enjoyed our couples photo shoot with Susanna to mark our wedding day. Susanna was professional, kind, and helpful in giving us directions whilst leaving space for us to be natural. We're also grateful for the way Susanna captured our favourite locations (within the woods), whilst using her experience to suggest good spots.

We love the photos which capture our relationship beautifully, as well as the magic of the woods (our chosen location). The colour palette of the photos is also exactly what we wanted.

If you are looking for a professional photo shoot I would highly recommend working with Susanna. I would just caution that the photo shoot is priced separately to the photo files and photo products. Whilst the 1hr15 shoot costs $200, it's an extra $1000+ to have access to 20 of the photo files. There's also no option to walk away with just the digital files - rather Susanna's pricing model focuses on providing a variety of prints and photobooks.

Susanna is therefore a good option if you're looking for a high quality professional photo shoot and want to walk away with physical prints, but less good if you're on a budget and/or are more interested in digital files only.

I have worked with Susanna multiple times. The most recent time was for my son’s senior pictures. He enjoyed the experience, which for him was a surprise. The photo album is beautifully packaged and of impressive quality with thick pages, luxurious leather cover, and gorgeous photos. We took a family photo as well that really captured our essence and is my most treasured photo.

My now husband and I originally had planned our full wedding in Columbus Ohio for May 16, 2020 and then coronavirus happened. Quickly we realized that our original plan of family and friends coming together from near and far was not going to happen. By mid to late April, we had made the decision to postpone our full celebration to the following year 2021, but we still wanted to get married on May 16,2020. This is where Susanna Tanner photography came in! Recommended to me by my Mom, we reached out, she was quick to respond and worked with us to meet our needs for a not so normal wedding day. Susanna was professional, flexible, kind, inventive, and go with the flow. Day of went wonderfully! She was also super fast in her turn around and the final product was everything we were looking for. The quality we received was perfect. I cannot recommend her more for wedding photography.

She provided guidance on what to wear, not to wear, and what props may be helpful to bring my personality to life through the photo. It's clear that Susanna enjoys what she's doing and works hard to make you feel comfortable. My advice to anyone getting professional headshots for branding is to prepare a list of where you will use the photos (be specific) and find inspiration images prior to meeting with Susanna. Having a concrete use of the images after your shoot will help guide Susanna in ensuring you receive the best possible outcome.

Let me begin by saying, we were very please with the entire experience with Suzanna Tanner. We had a family photo taken for our 50th Anniversary.
Suzanna’s initial suggestions about color palettes, color choices were very helpful. In addition, Suzanna has many suggestions on her web site in preparation for your picture taking day.
But the highlight for us was the actual picture taking experience itself. She worked wonderfully with our entire family, which included a 5 year old and a two year old. Suzanna was really great at choosing the perfect location in our yard and arranging all of us in several different pleasing manners. From the moment she arrived, Suzanna put us all at ease so as to relax and enjoy the entire experience.
As a final comment, Suzanna was always available and quick to answer any and all questions in preparing for our photo shoot.
Plus, the turn around time between the photo shoot and being able to view the proofs was minimal. Suzanna was very helpful in helping us to select the best proofs for an album and/ or prints.
There is no question from working with Suzanna that she is well trained and experienced in the art of photography, photo journaling, and working with people to bring out the best in everything she does. She cares about her work and putting her best foot forward to produce the best final results for you.
