I recently completed a four-week beginner class at Soul Collections, and I can't recommend it highly enough! My instructors were exceptional, providing the perfect balance of hands-on guidance and allowing me the space to make mistakes and learn from them.

From the very first class, I felt comfortable with my sewing machine thanks to the detailed explanations and patient instruction. The instructor's ability to break down complex techniques into manageable steps made the learning process enjoyable and stress-free. We love Soul Collections! My daughter (now 8 years old) has been going to day camps and summer camps at Soul Collections for many years. She absolutely loves Soul Collections and always wants to go back and can't ever get enough. And, she has gotten so great at sewing. She has made clothes, bags, cosmetic bags, etc. It is a wonderful place where kids can be creative and free to create their visions. And, it is all led by the wonderful owner Ms. Shannon, who we love. And, all of the teachers are wonderful too. And, my daughter had her 7th birthday party there and it was wonderful. I cannot say enough great things about this place -- it is very special. Highly highly recommend!

I took the beginner’s class and had an amazing experience! After four classes, I feel comfortable sewing on my own. Shannon and team create a comfortable environment for learners of all levels. I would highly recommend Soul Collections!

Great place to learn sewing and make friends. Shannon is very patient even in stressful environments, and the TAs want to help. Just note that class sizes can be quite large, so you will also have to extend patience and flexibility at times as they help people with their individual projects. However, Shannon and the TAs encourage you to finish your projects if you are unable to do so in the timeframe of the class, and will allow you to come at your leisure to additional classes at no charge until you finish (provided you let them prioritize current students).

I found this to be a great place to start my sewing journey and give me some confidence to explore sewing outside of class. I've also asked Shannon for some alterations work and she did a great job but note that she is a mother and small business owner (now to multiple businesses!) so it may take some time. I didn't mind as I didn't have a timeline but I'm sure she's great if you do have a specific time you need the item.

Prices for classes and alterations are very fair, cheaper than elsewhere.
