I honestly can’t say enough about Scott with Second Street Repair!
I was in a tough spot when my truck and trailer broke down on I-80, and Scott came to the rescue in literally under an hour!
Not only did he tow me to safety, but he also went above and beyond by fixing a broken transmission line that other local mechanics refused to touch because they thought it was too difficult or would take too long.

What truly stood out was his exceptional customer service. Lots of tow truck drivers/mechanics aren’t the nicest people but Scott was def 1 in a million! He was professional, friendly, and took the time to explain everything he was doing.
From start to finish, the entire process took under two hours, and I was back on the road in no time. If you’re ever in need of towing or mechanical services, I highly recommend Scott with Second Street Repair!!
They turned a stressful situation into a positive experience, and I’m incredibly grateful for their help! Thanks again Scott!

They are friendly and prompt.
We were on the side of the road late in the evening with a shredded tire, they came out to where we were and changed both of our tires on our trailer for us. They did it very fast and we were on the road again within ten minutes after they got there. All for a decent price.

Our car died while on a trip near Atlantic. We had to get towed and tried calling AAA but we’re waiting hours for no response or eta. We called Second street repair and Steve was out there right away and able to grab the car. He was also able to fix it that same weekend so while we were coming back he let us pick it up on Sunday. Offers great response time, great pricing, and great service!! Highly recommend for your car needs.

I broke down on the highway in the middle of a 17 hour road trip with no friends or family living near by to help. I called second street for help towing my vehicle safely away from the highway and have it checked to see if it can be fixed at all. Scott was incredibly kind and recommended a locally owned Motel that would accept the dog we were traveling with and covered the initial payment for us since my friends and I didn't have cash to pay, and quickly got back to us to update that my car's motor was done for and wanted us to know asap so we could try to figure out what we'd do. When we found an interstate car rental we could use, the closest ones were an hour away. Scott went out of his way to find us someone who could drive us there, again covering the initial payment for us to guarantee that we could get back on the road sooner than later. My friends and I were able to get back on the road the day after my car broke down because of Scott and his crew doing such a good job and going above and beyond what their job asks of them. If I'm ever near Atlantic Iowa I'd go back to second street repair, the people are kind, trustworthy and do an amazing job with their work. Second Street Repair is one of the few car repair shops I know works to earn every single dollar they ask for and I feel so incredibly lucky to have broken down nearby, if it weren't for Scott and his crew we wouldn't have gotten home as quickly as we did.

Had a Great experience! We were on 80 and got a screw in our tire. We called and had imeadate help after hours to help get our tire patched. We were back on the road in no time. Owner was very nice and very helpful. Will highly recommend!

This place is amazing! I broke down in my diesel truck pulling a 5th wheel RV, on the side of I-80, while my boyfriend was doing Ragbrai. I found this place on google and they came and got me within 30 minutes. Scott was very reassuring as I don’t usually drive the truck/rv and I was by myself. These people go the extra mile. They were able to tow the truck and rv attached, got all the work done and we were back in the road within 12 hours. Very reasonable prices and there is a super cute shop cat to welcome you and keep you company while you wait. Definitely call these people. They treat you like family. 10/10 would recommend.

Late in the evening when all other shops were closed, I had a tire shread on me and another bulge. Second Street Repair brought me new tires and rims on the side of the road and changed them for no extra cost!!! Definitely recomend!!!
