Truly a rare experience in the marine services world. Heck, in any industry. Pamela and Greg were fantastic to work with. They seem to legitimately love the work they do -- they are both students of the trade, and teachers if you're interested. I did some damage to my hull (1988 Boston Whaler) mid-season, and they spent quite a bit of time helping me understand the age old debate between epoxy and poly.

Greg got things patched up quickly and affordably, and with extreme attention to detail. I felt my boat was in good hands the entire time. Stored indoors, and Greg offering to clean up the bottom paint -- as if they wouldn't stand for it looking anything but perfect (for an old boat at least...).

Best of all, it felt organized from Day 1. Within an hour of our first conversation, they had set up a Dropbox with photos and an estimate, and Pamela kept it up to date as the work progressed -- sharing daily photos of progress.

Across the board, great service + great people. You might regret low-tide exploration on the Merrimack, but you won't regret taking your boat here.

The latest marine composites, finishes, and rigging systems are utilized by their highly qualified experienced technicians, bringing performance levels beyond when the boats were new. In my case, my Rhodes 19 from 1969 is faster and prettier than ever. Several R-19 fleets are now tapping into SSM’s go fast approach. They do Great work! They pick up and deliver too, as needed. I had a major issue with the keel of my 33 sailboat, and I was recommended to contact Seacoast Specialty Marine to fix it although I didn't know this company. I contacted 2 other companies before deciding which one I would keep, and finally came back and choose Seacoast Specialty Marine. I was very impressed by Greg's competency, and frankly I didn't expect such professionalism. Greg partially removed the lead keel, and fixed it in such a way that not only the keel was extremely well re-bolted but it is stronger than when the boat was made, and it looks like new! I have now a very safe blue water boat that I will sail back and forth to Europe soon with total confidence. Greg is passionate about sailing (he was competing on Star boats for many years), he has an extensive technical knowledge on sailboat repairs and rigging, and he loves his work; that's the key of his competency! In other words, he knows what he is talking about.
His wife Pamela is very involved into the company, always attentive, smiling and helpful. The two of them are really nice people and I can't underline enough how pleasant it is to entrust and work with them. I am writing these lines because it is so rare nowadays to find people like they are that it must to be known.
Useless to say that I am now a faithful and committed client, and I highly recommend this company.
