I have been very pleased with her progress on the guitar and her growing confidence as a musician. Back in my day we sat in musty rooms with old ladies learning to play music on a dusty, out-of-tune piano. At the School of Rock? Drums, electric guitars, and keyboards cranked up with classic rock tunes. Students still learn the music essentials, but actually have fun doing it by playing real rock music. Individual lessons and group band performances strengthen musical skills and provide an overall knowledge of the history of rock.

Perhaps more important, though, has been the personal attention my rocker has received from the staff at the School of Rock. They want to be sure he has fun, learns his songs, and gets to perform. But, more than any other organization my rocker has been a part of, the staff at the School of Rock truly care about getting to know all the challenges and successes that make them who they are. The staff is supportive in ways far above and beyond any expectation you would have for "just a music lesson." Their compassion rocks!
