Congratulations on an outstanding first Samba Colorado Queen and King Weekender! Kebrina's love for her community and her artistry are evident in the success of this amazing event! All of the participants were authentic and inspiring in their sharing of who they are through their dance performances. Everyone should be proud of the work and dedication they put into making this such a fun celebration of African Brazilian cultural music and dance. Tom as the MC was an utter delight, the musicians were fantastic, and the community vibes were felt deeply among the audience. What a gift it was to have the teachers and judges as special guests. Their presence, knowledge, and wisdom (and their performances!) elevated the atmosphere and brought us all so much joy. So excited to see how this event evolves and can't wait for the next one! Congratulations to everyone involved!!

Samba CO is an amazing authentic Brazilian dance school and professional company. Dancers, drummers, and community members are always greeted with a warm welcome. Owner and Artistic Director, Kebrina De Jesus, is a powerhouse of passion and talent.
People of every color and all walks of life are embraced and encouraged to experience Brazilian dance culture with Samba CO. If you are a dancer, do not miss one of Kebrina's classes, they are some of the best in the Denver and Boulder area. If you are not a dancer, do not miss out on experiencing a class as a new- comer, or any of the fantastic Samba CO events!!

I consider this group my family in Colorado! Kebrina is an amazing teacher and mentor. She is constantly learning more about the cultural dances of Brazil and going deeper and deeper in the work. The performers of the group are well trained and provide great energy to any event they participate in. Highly recommend taking classes, joining the ensemble and hiring them for gigs!

I love the Samba Colorado community and I love Kebrina! The Artistic Director, Kebrina Josefina De Jesus, inspires us to reach our full potential and express ourselves as we heal through dance. It is an inclusive, dynamic community. I have gained more confidence and self-love as a result. Kebrina leads with integrity and authenticity as she passes on Brazilian dance, culture, and traditions. Simply put, Samba Colorado is my happy place. Kebrina is fire, a brilliant mover and an even more incredible person and teacher. Every dancer, whether seasoned or brand new, is wholeheartedly welcomed and encouraged. The community is uplifting, the energy is electric, and there's something new and so very valuable to be gained and shared in each and every class...tradition, healing, strength, self love, empowerment, and so much fun!

I recently had the pleasure of attending the company performance of AGO! I was blown away! The passion from every single dancer on stage was felt so deeply. It's evident staying true to roots and history of the dance was very important to the instructor. The traditional costumes, live drumming and singing were each breathtaking too. So exciting when they had audience participation as well, my 9 year old son loved the interactive portion of it and said that was his favorite part! Will be going again!

I attended Alegria! on 11/17 and truly appreciated the dancers and musicians showing the progression and evolution of Brazilian dance and music, with special emphasis on its African roots. If you’re interested in learning these art forms, I highly recommend you start with this school!

Kebrina, the artistic director, is uniquely skilled at being very inclusive, fun, spirited and disciplined. The African Brazilian class with live drumming is life-changing. I'm new to dancing and feel like I've been looking for something like this for years (decades?). It's an opportunity to learn about dance, culture, music, and yourself. Thank you Samba Colorado!
