I took my car to Sal's for an oil change. He was very detailed and thorough. Per our conversation up front he also checked all fluids, all filters, and rotated my tires.

They made an already crummy day WAY worse thanks to the tow racket they seem to have with the town of Acton. Wife had an accident literally 30 seconds from the place and though the vehicle was driveable, they still insisted on a tow (officers) and they got this place, who moved it 200 meters and charged $500. I'm not kidding. AND they wanted it in cash and didn't seem that thrilled when I demanded a receipt.

Don't trust them AT ALL. Maybe to locals these guys are great but to a family with an accident i wasn't impressed. They towed the car and then LOCKED it in another lot. I had to demand it to be OUT of their locked yard and then paid another company to get the car OUT of their business because what they probably wanted to do was keep it there, charge about 200 a day and Milk the insurance money I'd wind up with thanks to the total loss. So basically, the way they made this appear, is that they wanted to indirectly claim the vehicle and charge garaging fees for it especially if you aren't getting it repaired there. Gee thanks for your "help".

That was my introduction to them and my recommendation is to avoid and be diligent about avoiding them if you have an issue that requires a tow. Again maybe they're great with established local Acton folks. But I got an poor impression.

Highly recommend Sal's. Was referred to Sal by my long-time body shop and they did not disappoint. Sal and Rich took lots of time and care to help diagnose an issue. Given the nature of the issue they referred me to a specialist which itself is a good sign as they did not try to fix a problem that required special expertise and diagnostics. Despite all the time they spent figuring out the problem, Sal would not charge me. They earned my trust, and they will be my new shop from now on!

I went to Sal's on the advice of a friend. Sal's did not disappoint. Scheduling the repair date was easy (I even had to change the days and they were very patient with me). What impressed me most, though, was the person working the front office asked me to provide more details and listened carefully and patiently while I did so. That doesn't always happen at other shops. This is a big deal to me because even though I know quite a bit about vehicles I firmly believe that most people can explain what's happening with their car/truck quite well even if they don't know much about them. That information can help the shop make the right repairs. Sure enough, Sal's not only got the repair right but they took the time to chat with me after the job was done. That conversation, I believe, led to both the Sal's staff and me learning something new about some of the settings in these vehicles and how those setting might aggravate the problem.

I "tip my hat" to Sal's for a job well done. I'll be going back.

I called Sal’s based on recommendation of local garage , Sal was upfront and honest on the expectations on getting my vehicle analyzed. received a call later in the day on a quote and repaired that same day. Local car dealership gave appointment one week and half away, Sal’s earned my trust and I will start having them preform my annual services and will no longer go to the dealership.

250 miles from home, I started hearing a terrible grinding sound coming from my car's rear end. Just happened to be driving by Sal's and stopped in to see if they could diagnose it, and boy am I glad I did! Rich took time from his lunch break to step outside and look the situation over. He immediately showed me the problem: my brakes were on their very last legs. Long story short: the folks at Sal's soon had me back on the road and heading home, and at an extremely fair price. In 40 years of driving, I've never been more impressed with an auto repair shop. These guys are professional, honest, and clearly take great pride in their craft. The whole experience was incredibly refreshing; like stepping back in time to the days when service meant everything in the business world. HIGHLY recommend! My only complaint is that I don't live closer!

My experience with Sal's Auto and Truck Repair began with a broken snowblower. Needing my driveway plowed, I called Sal's because it was close. Then I met Sal the plow driver. We got along well and I learned he was the owner of Sal's Auto and Truck Repair, which is about a 15 minute walk from my house (if you're using a walker). Recently, when my wife's Toyota Camry needed service (a light appears on the dash saying servise is needed) I stopped at Sal's and had the required work done. Sal's technicians did a good job, 100% rating. As luck would have it, my poor driving resulted in a blown tire. Of course I called Sal's. One again, the work done for me was amazing thorough, clean and timely. I give Sal's a 5 star rating. When you stop by, give the terrific old dogs a pat if they're around. You won't miss them, their on a big old leather chair in the office.
