I brought my vehicle in for an overheating issue (1st ever) and an oil change. My vehicle never had any issues before - running great, nothing smoked/smelled, didn't hear any problems. It was running fine once the engine cooled down. I was later told that there were so many problems & needed a new engine (quoted $5,000+) or a new vehicle. I went somewhere else for a 2nd opinion, and they did an oil change and replaced the water tank (said nothing else was wrong). It cost 80% less that what I was originally quoted, and my car is running great now. I really don't appreciate being taken advantage of and will never go back.

Highly recommend. The tire I wanted wasn’t in stock, so they gave me a more expensive one for the price of the ones I originally asked for. Took time to explain the differences between tires, and work quick. Support local!

I’ve used this shop before in the past and LOVED Russ — he truly is one of a kind. Called and came in tonight because my car was shaking on the highway, was treated very nicely over the phone, but when I got in, it was a completely different story. I was basically told to take my business elsewhere because I was standing inside waiting to be helped (for over 20 minutes) because the guy was flustered. I’m sad to be leaving this review because I really don’t do this, and I really love Russ, but that was absolutely unacceptable and I will be taking my car to another shop in Iowa City from now on.

Always get fantastic service here. Last time I took my car in to check on some braking issues it turned out my rotors were almost completely shot. I was trying to leave town right before the 4th of July weekend and they got me in and out in about two hours even though I gave them no prior notice. Cannot say enough good about them.
