Started picking up saxophone recently after not playing since middle school. Benito is a fantastic instructor who makes lessons interesting and gives very good tips for practicing. He is very knowledgeable about music and motivates me to get better at my horn every week. Would heavily recommend for students at any level of music.

I haven't played consistently since high school and wanted to start over with trumpet lessons. I'm 47 years old and felt a bit weird going to trumpet lessons, but everyone there was great. The owner was great, my instructor was awesome and it was a pleasure being around other music lovers. I took advantage of their free entry class and am very glad I did. I signed up and will take a few months of lessons to get that part of my brain back engaged. That's another great thing. There is no contract. You can do month-to-month. Very cool place and people.

I highly recommend Rocky Mountain Academy of Music! I normally don't write reviews, but the expertise and quality of instruction that Benito provides warrants a 5 star review. I'm an older adult student who returned to play saxophone after having not played it since high school. I've started playing with a group composed of guitar players, a drummer, and a keyboard player. I never had the need to transpose chart music and was having difficulty with it, but Benito explained how to do it in a clear and concise manner. His instruction on playing the saxophone is top notch. He is easy to work with to schedule lessons and is flexible on the payment method.

My husband retired and wants to play saxophone in a neighborhood group. He played in high school and brushed up before his 1st lesson with Benito. Benito is amazing and high energy. He answered the main questions of transposing chart music for the sax playing in bands. Also, he covered when to play the sax and how it conceptually fits with the music and the band. The given information was so interesting and the lesson was so professional and upbeat that while I watched, I took notes (for my husband)! He is now highly motivated to practice the homework!

A great place for your kids to study music! Mr. Benito is friendly and always helpful.
Special thanks to Mr. Dan for the drum lessons! My son has so much progress! Mr.Dan has METHOD and consistency when teaching drums. He shows patterns and riffs, and it was really easy for my son to practice at home using his guidance.

I would recommend this place greatly. They have very knowledgeable teachers for quite a few instruments. Ben knows a ton and he has a knack for explaining difficult or complex concepts to novices. He can cover the basics of music theory, and go beyond that very easily. Ben is also great with kids, which is a good sign, and has no problem with older students like myself. He is also very flexible when setting up lessons and even payments. My entire skill set has changed in just a short time, and Ben wouldn't mind if you just stopped by, he has a decent library too!

I signed my 5- and 6-year old for their first formal piano lessons and have only good things to say about this place after many months. Our children have excelled in learning and very much enjoyed the 1-on-1 teaching in the comfortable studios. The location is convenient and finding a schedule that worked for our family was easy. Benito and his staff's playful approach to the piano puts the kids at ease and makes lessons a weekly highlight for us!
