ProMedia Training & in particular, instructor & director Mihai was invaluable in not only fundamentals of Pro Tools but also in assisting me in the professional re-tooling of my studio with all advanced AVID hardware. Mihai taught the courses using real-world recording examples and concepts. ProMedia coordinator Jenna was totally responsive to multiple requests and information. Joe Sears is a consummate professional. I recommend him, and Pro Media Training, with no hesitation whatsoever. My project is to archive hundreds of hours of wildlife recordings made during Alaskan winters (storms, recorder batteries dying in the cold, wild range of sound levels) Having no sound studio background, I needed someone with: a skill set able to integrate analog & DAT tapes from the 1980's, 90's, early 2000's into current digital format, the patience to walk me through how to connect multiple components and get them to talk to each other, and the experience to figure out volume settings, and all that.
After many false starts with other software programs I'd gotten the sense ProTools is the industry standard, which means it will probably be around for the foreseeable future, which is important for an archive. Still needed that mentor who could put it all together.
Found ProMedia Training. Called Jenna D. she said, "You should talk to Joe Sears." I did. In a few hours of online one-on-one, for a very reasonable price, Joe had it all running. He didn't waste time, emailed me what should be in place for the next session, answered all my questions, and importantly, I've got a connection if questions come up.
Joe also recorded relevant parts of our training which Mihai B from ProMedia forwarded to me for future reference.
All in all, this is an excellent investment.

Even through I'm a Freshman attending Full Sail in Orlando, I decided to do my Pro tools Training and Certification at ProMedia Training in their live-online program this fall. Thanks to ProMedia, I have already passed my Pro tools Specialist Certification exam. It's often asked by my classmates how I have already gained some much knowledge with Pro Tools. I also wanted to have a strong understanding of how the software works:) I didn't want to be another "average" Pro tools user who just knows the basics. I have goals to be beyond good at what I do and this is the first step.

I want to REALLY master the software at a higher level, and I will eventually learn Post Production Audio for different fields like Film and Broadcast. The Instructors are in a different category of knowledge at ProMedia, and they go through much higher levels of Pro tools Training here that are not offered at Full sail or any other colleges I've seen. Some of the instructors here (which I'll be with for my Dolby and Post), actually write the official Avid course textbooks. How do you get higher than writing the Avid Textbooks? And my class instructor was also the Avid Elite consultant for designing and managing the entire Pro tools & Network infrastructure at CBS, NBC, HBO, and even the major upgrades for Full Sail .... My teacher was Terron Darby- and I took the month-long evening class, and I'm in my second month of refreshers now. I really love the fact that ProMedia supports their students for an entire Year. Even after passing my exam. It's also nice to change instructors to see how they work in the software as well.

There were other industry professionals in my class as students too, that made class much more interesting. The in-class platform at Promedia Training was NOT like a blurry Zoom or shared screen environment. Thank GOD they don't use zoom. My advice is Don't go anywhere where someone is trying to teach you Pro tools on Zoom or TeamViewer or those business meetings platforms. You'll regret not being able to see and hear things very well.

For me, the pro tools system in class was perfectly clear, full resolution for audio and video and the instructor could enlarge any portion of the windows and menus at any time, even down to the waveform. I could even turn down the loud people in class LOL. If you are studying audio engineering or anything related, I highly recommend taking your Pro tools classes and your Pro Tools Certification with Promedia Training. I'll be taking my Post Production Operator and Dolby Atmos with this team in the future.

WOW!!! Let me just say that ProMedia is a life saver!! Being new to recording music in my home studio, I was EXTREMELY overwhelmed by how complex recording software can be. After doing much research, I decided to purchase Pro Tools as my DAW of choice seeing how it really is the standard in the music industry. However, once I ordered it and installed it I was lost trying to operate it! I tried looking up answers to my questions online but needed more than a video showing me what to do. That's when I came across ProMedia and THIS was a game changer. ProMedia offered exactly what I was looking for and what I needed to help me learn the ins & outs of how to use Pro Tools, especially being new to recording. The online classroom instructors were amazing and made Q&A teaching feel extremely comfortable and welcoming by being so patient and thorough answering every question I had along the way. The best part was being able to come back for future classes if I still needed more assistance, which I did since Im not the fastest learner with the software. Mihai and Terron were the two instructors I was lucky enough to have teaching because they were super generous sharing their knowledge from working for years in some of the industries top recording studios. Thanks to their awesome teaching (and patience) I'm now a certified Pro Tools user, and recently just enrolled to take the Pro Tools operators certification classes as well. I can't thank ProMedia and their staff of amazing instructors enough for helping to make my dreams come true!!

I took the PT 101/110 class and I really enjoyed it and definitely plan to audit. From start to finish my whole experience was great. Jenna was very nice and helpful even though I must have emailed 50 times. Thanks, Jenna! Mihai communicated very clearly about getting all the resources organized and situated. Terron is a great instructor and stuck it out even though he wasn't feeling well and still delivered great classes! Classes are recorded so you can always re-watch something if you missed it or trying to practice a certain technique. All the materials you get access to are SO valuable! If you're wondering if the money is worth it, it DEFINITELY is! This course is great for veteran Pro Tools users trying to refresh or for newer users trying to up their Pro Tools game. Can't recommend this crew enough!

Ive learned quite a lot at this school. I was also impressed with how Mihai was able to teach Pro Tools remotely. It’s obvious from the start that he knows this comprehensive tool inside and out.
His customized technology to create a virtual classroom is also functional.
And it’s clear that you're not only getting fundamentally taught, but you're learning the complex uses of Pro Tools as well. He is also patient and fun to work with in this environment.
On top of all that, Jenna is way cool and super easy to work with.
