Honest, fast, excellent work. Showed me the repair, openly discussed options and what was worth spending money on and what was not. They don't have time to lie to you and are genuinely kind. I was there for an exhaust repair with my very old car. While my car was up, they took the time to assess for body rust because I was worried about it. I will go back. They have my highest recommendation and trust.

I had high hopes for this garage given the great reviews. I called and then took it to this garage the same day for an exhaust leak. I made it clear that the exhaust was coming into the cabin and my former mechanic told me my car needed a flex hose. Nick and Justin were on board that day. Nick told me, and Justin agreed, that all I needed was a gasket. I paid this garage $80 for a gasket replacement only to discover later the CO was still coming into the car. I called and Peter answered. I explained the situation - he having not been there that day. He questioned someone in the background about my car. The person -Nick or Justin obviously, responded: “It needs a flex hose.”
No shit?
I told them that day that it needed a flex hose and obviously they knew this. So why did they charge me for a gasket replacement? I’m out $80 without a fix.
Yet another rip-off garage!

These guys are great! They do a good/careful job and don’t BS me like a dealership’s service department nor do they charge those exorbitant rates. Very grateful to have them in the neighborhood!

I moved to north Waltham about a year ago, and needed a new mechanic when my battery light came on and I started smelling burning rubber. I read the stellar reviews of Peter's Auto online and called them the next morning. Peter was able to see me right away and found several other safety issues that should have been spotted at my recent inspection. He and his son replaced all four brakes, my alternator, the left front axle, and my front links all in the same day, and at an honest price. They were both very patient with my questions and even had me come back the next day to double-check that all my lug nuts were tightened successfully. I am so glad I found such a great and thorough mechanic close to home! You cannot go wrong with this place, he and his sons really care about their customers and their safety.

Great service from this shop. Full 4 brake replacement on a Friday done in a couple hours. Favorable rate for what I’ve paid and heard charged at other shops in Waltham. Recommend anyone take their vehicle here for any service!

A few months ago, I brought my 2013 Red Hyundai Accent that wasn’t driven for over a year and it overheated/stopped on the way to the store. I got the car towed to the store. On arrival, the older gentleman (believe the owner) tried to jump start the car but that didn’t work. Without looking much into it, he considered the car to be junk and recommended me to the leave the car and the keys with him and to bring the title of the car and offered me $500 at the best. I wasn’t comfortable in just letting the car go so I took his suggestion and requested I need time to think. He rudely said “make sure you get the car out of my lot within an hour then”. There were a couple of younger employees who look baffled too that he considered it to be a junk without the due diligence.
Anyways, got the car towed back to home and recently brought it to a trusted mechanic with great reputation who fixed the car up and running for $500- the same amount this guy was offering to junk the car. It’s sad that google reviewed aren’t trustworthy these days.
