So during ‘the pandemic’ I signed up for a class. Apparently I didn’t read the disclaimer about the COVID policy- oh wait…there was none…they refused my exemption letter and refused my refund which left me at the last minute, selling my spot for half price.

If you are a young actor don't waste your money going here. I took the bridge program and they made it an awful experience, if I could have I would have gotten a refund. I am 19 (keep in mind on the website it says that this is for old and young actors) they had me do an alcohol commercial, a sexual scene with a 35+ man, and I was given the same copy as another girl 3 different times! This was all in front of industry professionals and I had to preform the same scene as another student for a panel of 3 agents... but I am paying for this?!?! When I brought it to their (the teachers) attention it was brushed under the rug as if I was being ungrateful. Basically this place is just a cash grab they pay the teachers and agents really well to do basically nothing, I had one of the industry professionals tell us she is legally not allowed to hire anyone directly from one on one (that's why YOU have to email them) ITS A CASH GRAB!!!

They are amazing. One On One always under promises and Over Delivers… I’ve learned so much from the casting directors, directors, and industry professionals that teach their classes.
If you’re serious about your acting career
One On One is must .. 😉
I’ve booked six starring roles in less than three years ..!!!

Just had an initial audition. I don't know if I got in yet but either way, I have some initial observations. One on One has a very professional staff and great facilities with a nice lobby and studio space. I witnessed a class going on while I was there. Students were rehearsing in the lobby and it seemed like things were very well organized. My audition was conducted by a theater director/actor who was very helpful. I have been to facilities like this in the past where auditions were used as a sales pitch. Here, you can tell they are looking for people who want to learn and have some chops. I'm very impressed by that. It means the classes will be with people who aren't brand new - something I've also experienced at other places like this. Like I said, very early days for me here - haven't gotten in, haven't taken a class but... my first impression is very positive.

Although i fully stand with companies that allow talent to connect with manager and agents BE AWARE of the ones who are just there for a "Payday" i direct e-mailed three managers that are currently scheduled and SOLD OUT at one on one and i did this with an agents referral as well. All three replied and said they are not adding to their roster at this time or they are only looking for specific Ethnicities and Ages....yet that are still they gladly taking your money ...that said i myself have taken some classes at one on one and have noting negative to say about them as a company . This is just so you are fully aware that some of the Managers and Agents are just there for a payday and not even looking for talent. i gave this 2 stars not because they are poorly run but because they should not allow representatives who are not truely seeking new talent.

Unfortunately a RIP OFF / Scammer ! They ask you to pay to get your materials audited in order for you to join their classes ! which in fact should be the other way around ... WE SHOULD be able to audit them before paying for their classes. Stay Away !

At first I would’ve said that this was a great place to see Casting Directors. I’ve been pulled in by them. I’ve referred many people to their business, and I’ve referred many members to agencies which have signed them. I’ve made this company a lot of money by taking a plethora of classes.

First, I am a well trained, talented actor. Warner Loughlin has taught me to create fully fleshed out characters, and I’m always prepared with my materials. I’ve gotten multiple accolades from other actors to the tune of “that was amazing” and have fooled major cD’s into thinking I was British with my accent work. I’ve also had agents make extra time outside of class to work with me and personally email me about finding parts for me.

About 3 weeks to a month ago— I started dealing with severe depression due to the fact that my companion/ therapy dog of 9 years had gotten horribly ill. The day I found out from her personal vet that she had cancer and would need to see an oncologist—I thought I could handle taking class without a hitch. I got through my first pass, though personally, unhappy with it, and received a redirect. Then I blacked on the second pass—something that has never happened in class—and a panic attack ensued. The CD was understanding, and let me do a 3rd pass after the the next actor performed. I got through it fine—but was horribly embarrassed. I told her that this wasn’t an excuse, by all means, but I my pup was really sick, and I’m having a hard time. The next week y scenes were fine, but she asked how my pup was and I got teary and said “she’s going downhill. Thanks for asking.”
Before the next couple classes at check in — only a couple students present—staff would always tell me how sorry they were about what I was going through. They even wrote me letters. My work never suffered.

I believe that was one or two classes, one being an agent workshop. My work was always very good.
The next class I had to cancel to bring my dog to Mash ER. They labeled her critical as she had metastatic cancer and was having seizures. They suggested euthanasia. I asked to take her home with pain meds snd a list of end of life vets that come to your house. She died the next day. I was completely heartbroken.

I was receiving ads for advanced classes at one on one etc and I tried to log in to my account. It wouldn’t work. I emailed them for help. I had to email several times until I got a letter saying my account was revoked and closed out. They said that I had become unpredictable and unprofessional. There were numerous complaints from staff, industry professionals snd students. They said that anyone can be going through sadness or heartbreak at anytime and I need to be respectful and make these classes the light of one’s day.

They had plenty of time during check in to warn me, not say how sorry they were about my situation. Other that my one “semi-melt down” which I redeemed I have always been prepared— enough to be pulled in and emailed by professionals. No warning. Nothing.

I asked if they would consider giving me two months off and a probation. I know the last 3 classes out of, what 30 (?) I’ve been going through a rough time. I didn’t realize it hurt the class. People asked me. I guess they want the holly would answer— everything’s fine. No problem here. Other than those classes I’ve done well.

On top of it, I still receive ads which feels a bit cruel.
I would’ve given them 5 stars had this not happened.
But was my behavior really as bad as the way they handled this I think not.

This won’t stop me. I will always pursue my dreams.

One On One NYC has been nothing but good to me over the last 6 years — I’ve done the LA Trip, AIW, numerous CD workshops and have most recently signed up for the ATL Trip this coming weekend— all my classes and workshops and programs have had various outcomes(some auditions, a few callbacks, a couple bookings, some networking - and a lot of no responses) but every single one of the programs has made me a better actor and in some ways a better (more patient/less anxious) person. I’ve always stuck with One On One for a majority of my CD/Agent&Mangager workshops because of its level of professionalism and the type of actors it attracts- I greatly appreciate the way the space is maintained overall (to be honest of course it has its off nights/days, but what communal environment doesn't?), and the actors that are in the room with you tend to be as focused and passionate as you would expect a professional to be, it’s really rare that you experience an extremely unprofessional time waster in your class. And finally, when it comes down to it - once the One On One community/behind the scenes knows you a bit, they really try to do you right. I have had other actors I met in class get me auditions/write things for me after meeting here and I have done the same for others. And I will forever be greatful for the entire staff and Marc, the owner, for their working a schedule around and holding space for me when my grandmother hit her deathbed right before the ATL Trip. This is a solid team of people making it all happen and a really great place to develop your network for acting, I genuinely recommend it from all my overall experiences, allllll the good and even the few not so good. Everything is a lesson 🙂
