New Song Music Academy is just what I was looking for when I decided I wanted to learn how to play the piano in my 60's. My teacher, Juan, is the best. He is super patient and kind, but most of all he's a great teacher. We have fun together and learn a lot. He never makes me feel awkward at how slow I learn and also pushes me to succeed. I have learned so much and love to practice.

Our son, Max, has had the pleasure of working with New Song Music Academy since the summer of 2020. He started with virtual piano lessons due to the pandemic, but Miriam, NSMA's director, made virtual lessons effortless. She even personally dropped off and had lesson books sent to our house during that time.

Max has had a variety of teachers throughout his time with NSMA, each chosen by Miriam to facilitate whatever skill requires his focus during a given period.

Miriam and her instructors are top notch and make learning and mastering instruments fun for their students. As a family, we appreciate the different recital venues, themes, and opportunities Max has been provided and look forward to working with NSMA for years to come!

We have known Ms. Miriam and her team for 2 years now. I can honestly say that all the teachers we have had the pleasure of working with are professional, patient and truly loving! The curriculum is well-balanced and personalized- classical, pop, theater and theory. These little ones’ love for music flourishes with every lesson. We are really happy with Music with Miriam.

My daughter takes piano lessons here and it has been a delightful process from first inquiry to returning student.

Miriam has always been easy and kind to work with: informative and welcoming to a T for a parent who is unfamiliar with music and trying to get my daughter started.

Christy was my daughters instructor over the summer programme, and she was such a great fit! My daughter can be very shy--and Christy was soft and encouraging, perfect for getting her to open up.

My daughters are new to Music with Miriam and have only had 4 lessons prior to this recital but their teacher prepared them well and was validating and encouraging to them. They enjoyed their first piano recital and we are enjoying their love of music expanding with their teacher, Ms. Clark.

Miriam was my teacher for about 3 years and I can't say enough good things about her as a teacher and person. Piano is a hard instrument to learn which is why having a good teacher is so important. And she was definitely that. She is someone who only wants the best for her students and she is always challenging and encouraging us to do our best, but she also tries to make it fun at the same time. When I first started piano lessons I was very difficult to work with but Miriam stuck by me and had a lot of patience. I am very thankful to her for everything that she taught me and I know that anyone would be very lucky to have her as a teacher.

Two of my children have taken with Ms. Miriam this past year and I am going to add another child this year. She balances nurturing instruction along with challenging expectations. Ms. Miriam also focuses on the importance of music theory to establish a healthy and strong foundation for any instrument. My children loved that they could pick songs to learn that they personally enjoy. I look forward to another year!
