A contractor renovated a bathroom in April 2024 at our rental property. By September 2024, the shower wall started caving-in. We live in a different state, and trying to find a company who would commit and show up to appointments as scheduled was the worst experience. Two weeks ago, I found Mr. Handyman online. Great work and promptly completed (the work would have been completed within a week but my tenants were unavailable). Their representatives were professional and communicative. Their payment system was easy. Their quote was the most expensive of all we received, but it was worth it. Will use them again for sure. Before and after photos below.

Rick arrived on time, was super friendly and walked me through what needed to be done and what was included in the estimate. Do not trust this company with any major repairs. They are courteous and friendly for very small and straightforward tasks, but will rip you off on major repairs. I’m attaching the “after picture” of my roof, which they charged me $3,000 to repair. While they quoted me 2 full days of work and $1,000 of materials, the technician spent 3 hours on this repair and bought no materials. However they refused to reduce their rate, because I had signed off on their initial quote, believing that their estimate of the work was accurate and that they would actually complete the work they said needed to be done. It was evident a couple months later that the repairman had cut major corners when black mold started appearing on my ceiling. I had Mr. Handyman send out another person, who spent about the same time and also no materials, just painted over the mold. When I told the company their repairs had again produced black mold, they sent the owner of the company to my house. Again, he was polite, but never sent anyone to actually do the repairs. 4 years on, I finally found someone capable of fixing this issue: my father-in-law. It took him 4 full days and $250 to completely demolish and replace the roof over my small laundry room and finally put to rest the failures of Mr. Handyman. I’m so grateful my miserable journey with this company is over and I will never give them another penny.

I called and had a great experience with the phone representative, Jesus, who was able to schedule me sooner than I thought would be possible. After our initial call, he found a way to get me in quicker and called me back, it was great.

Then when the handyman Ryan came to my house, it was such a painless process. He was extremely polite and very careful around my property. Everything got done quick and correct and I'm so happy I chose this company.

I wouldn't hesitate to call them again for the next thing I need or to recommend them to my neighbors!

Bryan Clifton came out to do repair work. He did a great job—professional, polite, cared about doing his work excellently, and gave me his card at the end of the job, telling me that if anything needed any further work, he would take care of it.

Jason from Mr Handyman of Hendersonville came to 1) replace a fixture in the kitchen ceiling, and 2) to repair two areas of discoloration in the bedroom ceiling caused by roof leaks which occurred during a recent driving rain. Once he finished the ceiling repairs, you would never know they were there! He also determined that there were three places on the roof which probably were the sources of the leaks. He caulked each of the three areas on the roof. Job well done!
Jason is very professional, knowledgeable and versatile. He can do just about anything. We are very satisfied and would recommend Mr Handyman without reservation.
