Monument Beach - Bourne, Massachusetts

This beach is small. More of a boat docking beach. You’ll have to park on main road if you’re a not a resident of the town. Parking on the beach is a $50 fine and the police do check every hour or so. The beach is rocky and a lot of seaweed. Restrooms are available. People were fishing near the boating dock.

I live in Monument Beach and this lovely little marina, beach, and children's playground are right there on the edge of the sweet historic residential village. You can buy a town sticker to drive into the parking lot during the day or you can just park along the road or you can walk if you're staying in the village. The one downfall is the warm weather teeny no-see-em bugs that flutter around and bite your ankles and wherever. They hurt. Yet, I love to walk along the marsh. It's such a peaceful little spot at the side of the parking lot. You can see the Osprey from afar flying to and from their nest. There is a beautiful new upgraded boat launch and lots of parking. Off-season, this is a popular spot to just park, sit in your car, look at the water and listen to music or read a book. This is a "thing" on Cape Cod-parking by any body of water and just looking out - a nice "moment of Zen."

Been here with friends quite a few times. Not much of a beach, nor is the sand the softest or the view the prettiest. That said, only the locals go here and it is always quiet. The water it on the colder side. but it is very safe to swim here. On one occasion I got the see horseshoe crabs mating (which was very cool). My friends like this beach since they have a house nearby, so growing up I made many memories here.

My recommendation is spend a relaxing beach day here and then on your way out grab some ice cream at the Whistle stop! Right down the road towards the center of the village and it is real good after soaking up the sun all day.

Great beach to hangout for a while, but not my best recommendation for swimming especially with the nearby marina and launch. Otherwise, good area with close amenities (food, ice cream etc.)

I've been to this beach for years and brought my dog cause there is a sign saying to pick up after your pet after looking at the signs they was NO rule stating that I can't bring my dog. I was at the beach for about an 2 hours and some cop came over and told us he can't be here I told him there were no rules here saying my dog couldn't be here but he told me and my family we had to Leave. The cops name was name was Bailey.

We love No Beach! Great in the summer, waters beautiful, kids love getting in trouble for climbing on the rocks. On New Years Day we do a Polar Plunge.
