Every time we go here is a lovely experience. I love being able to browse and purchase art from local artists. When we visited they even had a mini art show going on!

I bought a magnetic pottery pen holder for my granny's fridge so she can always be ready to write her shopping lists for us! 🙂

They're always looking for volunteers, and often have classes you can sign up for! It's one of the sweetest little hidden gems in Monroe, I think a lot of people skip past it without realizing how nice it is!

Take time to stop outside, there's a lovely little art garden to the side of the building that's been there since I was a child. The art installations change from time to time, and it's so wonderful to sit there especially in the nicer fall and winter weather.

We had a lovely time with a paint party for my sister's bridal shower. We were led by Jennifer, and she, and the rest of the staff, were lovely and accommodating. Thank you for a fun and celebratory day ?

MWCA has so much to offer our community! (I'm a bit biased since I'm a member?). There's something for everyone--shows, classes, events, book club, shop full of local artists' handmade jewelry, pottery, paintings, gifts, and decor, plus volunteer opportunities! ART FOR EVERYONE!

This was awesome! Loved seeing art from local artists and especially local high school students! I was amazed at the quality of work! Wish you could buy the high school students work, there were several pieces that I loved! Heck, I'd settle for a printed copy of this gorgeous chameleon!!! My daughter had so much fun getting her face painted on Unicorn day and painting rocks! And the birthday gift I bought my mother in law here was ADORED! Thank you!!!

Monroe Walton Center for the Arts is a phenomenal destination in downtown Monroe. Visitors can walk in and browse a variety of custom art on display in addition to local artisan crafted items for sale. I have found so many unique items handcrafted by local artisans! If you like unique hand crafted jewelry this is the place to go! You can shop for gifts at MWCA and in doing so you are supporting the local artisan community. Go to MWCA to find beautiful hand made ornaments and holiday decor.

I take classes and volunteer here regularly. This is a very nice establishment with friendly people and a great gift shop! A great place to visit for learning and fun. Highly recommended if you are walking downtown and are looking for something to do or somewhere to shop. By buying from the gift shop/gallery, you not only support local artists but you also support the entire building and its commitment to the art community. Plus, new things are always being added to the shop and new classes/events are always something to look out for. Volunteering here is also recommended because everyone there is so nice and fun to be around!

Staff is ultra pleasant. They often have local crafts for sale. My wife took a ceramics class there and was very pleased with it. They have frequent classes for various types of art. In November and December they have a lot of Christmas themed art.
