One of the best life drawings sessions I’ve ever been to. I arrived without supplies, Minerva had everything: conte, paper, boards and clips. Plenty of comfortable surround seating, many artists of every ability, 5min mini lectures during the break and, most surprising, a professional flutist playing baroque music.

Minerva's Drawing Studio gave me the place I needed to blossom into a professional artist. To me, this is the best place in NYC to draw, hands down. Minerva and everyone in the community are wonderful engaging and inspiring. If you're an artist of any level, brand new to veteran, professional, hobbyist or just curious, you'll find the best here. This is the best art drawing class in the city. I have been study drawing since young age in China later in England with professional artists and academic institutes. Minerva is kind of teacher can help you open your mind and eyes so your technique will leap in short amount of time. She also is true artist herself. One of the best drawing community in town, long time devoted students and wonderful teachers like Kate and Chuck who teaches “ the nature way of drawing “ which provides many lifetimes useful drawing exercises for whoever want take drawing and painting seriously. If you love and want to learn drawing, this is the place you definitely shouldn’t miss out. I can’t recommend it enough.

A hidden gem for artists in the city. Reasonably priced figure classes that you can just drop into any day of the week. My preference is just to show up and do my own thing without instruction -I find this the most relaxing and fun during a busy work week. And that’s exactly what I was able to do. And then if you have time to stick around after for about 15 minutes, you can view each others work. I haven’t met Minerva yet, only Scott. But I’ll definitely be going back as a regular.
