When I encounter work on my vehicle that requires me underneath it's 3200lb body, they're only people I trust with my vehicle in the New Albany/Georgetown area. Have always been pleasant to interact with.

When I've had more in-depth questions the techs here haven't hesitated to walk me through things completely to break down exactly what the problem was, what needed to be replaced, and how replacing it would resolve the issues.

They've also always taken a close look at anything I bring in (noises, abnormalities, etc..) that I'm concerned about before servicing my vehicle. I appreciate the proactivity!

We had our car towed to Merritt’s as it had a transmission error showing and couldn’t be started. Merritt’s had our car at their shop for 4 weeks. The issue was the wiring had been chewed up by critters. Merritt’s did not fix the car. The kept telling us they didn’t have anyone to work on it. After 4 weeks they towed the car to a different automotive place New Albany. They didn’t even tell us that they were moving it. The place in New Albany immediately told us that they don’t do wiring. So we had to have a towed to a third place. If you take your car to Merritt’s you will be sorry you did

I replaced power steering fluid in my son’s car 3 Times and it kept slowly leaking out. I called Merritt. I told them that he was away at college and I was in NO Hurry. They kept the car one month, giving me frequent updates. I noticed it was moved frequently, even saw it up on the rack numerous times. They provided very reasonable solution, and never even charged me for labor. This is my second positive experience there, very happy with my daughter’s car repair as well

Absolutely terrible service. Would never recommend to anyone. Had a car with a radiator problem and took it there to get it fixed. We also had them look at a possible electrical draw in the engine. A week and 2 days later we get a call and they say it is going to be $40 just to replace the battery terminals. We had the battery terminals replaced last time for less than $10. We told them that we've already replaced those twice and it did nothing. The woman on the phone then goes on to tell us that they have already put on a terminal without our consent and they will charge us for it. We tell them that we never gave consent for that and that we just want the car back. The woman was EXTREMELY rude on the phone and gave a very hateful look when we came in to get the car. We then got a bill for $90 and the entire engine was in infinitely worse shape when we got it back, so much so that we only made it a half mile down the road. So unless you want the worst experience you've ever had with a car, steer clear of this swindling and vindictive auto shop and go another few miles down the road to any of the other auto shops in Georgetown. They charged us $90 to destroy our car. And that is not acceptable for any business.

I called to get a price on replacing a cooling fan motor. Everything was fine until began questioning parts price. Then they got short and wanted to get off the phone. They want $160 for a $90 part. I can see paying 10% but almost 60% mark up, NO. Espicially since they go by industry standard labor. I cannot really rate Quality and Service, but appeal in 0.

The people who own and operate Merritt's are very rude and nasty people. All I wanted to do was get my personal property out of the vehicle. They refuse to let me without a court order. The State police told them to let me have it and the owner still refuses. Therefore, the state police will no longer be using them to tow vehicles for them. Please avoid this shop at all costs. Consumers, BE WARE!!!! I would give them negative stars if I could!!! Never have I encountered such rude, hateful and nasty people.
