Massdojo provides a wonderful opportunity for my girls, who are 4 and 6 years old, to learn patience and confidence, along with Karate skills. Not only sensei, but also all the older kids in the dojo support my girls to learn and develop. They love being there and enjoy practicing Karate so that we drive around 50 min from our place at least 3 times a week to participate in the classes (sometimes almost everyday!)

When our oldest really begged to try karate, we fortunately found MassDojo! From the very first class, we observed a wonderful balance of having fun while learning, support of our children as well as the need for discipline and dedication as they progress over time in their training. Our children have very different personalities and learning needs and their sensei has been able to cater to both of them in very supportive and encouraging yet individualized ways. Now 2.5 years in, our kids absolutely love going to classes and are at the dojo 3-4x a week. As parents we have even joined classes too as our kids successes and enjoyment have inspired karate to become a whole family activity! Beyond regular scheduled classes, additional opportunities on the tournament team have provided valuable additional training, confidence building and teamwork opportunities, not to mention unique travel experiences, that have been invaluable to our children as members of MassDojo. The amount of growth, confidence, dedication and enjoyment in karate our kids have gained through MassDojo has been invaluable and we look forward to our family’s future here. Sensei Rossini is an amazing and supportive sensei, coach, mentor and friend to our family. I cannot speak more highly of MassDojo!

Sensei Eric Rossini is a dedicated professional who brings fun, entertainment, and discipline to every karate class. Our kids are incredibly fortunate to have him as their instructor! Sensei Rossini is a godsend. Having trained karate for 25+ years I was looking for an instructor and a coach which is no easy feat and I’m so grateful to have found him. Great place to develop your child's or your own inner strength. There's probably a ton of dojos to choose from, but Massdojo stands out due to Sensei Eric Rossini's dedication and passion to the art and sport of karate.
Sensei Rossini is old school and I mean that in the best way possible. This ain't no Cobra Kai knock off, Massdojo and Sensei Rossini are the real deal. He's patient but tough. He lives by the tenets of discipline and respect, and he knows how to make and keep things interesting, even for the youngest of the kids. He doesn't sugar coat things and doesn't pander to belt progression while sacrificing the real development of the children or adults under his tutelage. Expect your kids to be challenged mentally and physically as they progress through the various belts, and believe me, each belt level they move up will be well deserved. My son has been at Massdojo for nearly 4 years and the growth in mental and physical toughness he has shown over that time has been phenomenal. He's a much more confident and focused person than he was when he joined and a lot of the credit goes to the way Massdojo functions.
Another amazing aspect of Massdojo is the strong sense of community created within the parents of the kids, and the amazing support they all provide to each other's children. Massdojo is the likely the only dojo in Massachusetts that regularly participates in karate tournaments throughout the US, including fhe Nationals and a lot of our athletes end up medaling, some even having had the honor of representing the US in the Pan American Karate Championship in South America.
Sensei Rossini offers a free trial class, I would highly recommend you send your child for one if they're showing interest in joining, though I would confidently state that they'll want to stick around once they've tried it!
