I took guitar lessons with Phil for a few years and it was great! It is clear he loves what he does and he is an excellent teacher. He is patient, easy-going and cares a lot about the success of his students. I appreciated his style of teaching and how open he was to letting me choose the pieces I wanted to play and allowing me to take my own direction with music. Not only is he talented but he's a great person to talk to. I would highly recommend!

Phil has been my daughters guitar teacher for about the last year now. He is wonderful and a great coach and my daughter absolutely loves him. He’s very patient and thorough and is a great instructor. She’s come along way since she first started and thoroughly enjoys her time there. I have had a love for music since childhood. Throughout my fatherhood and working years I never took the time to learn an instrument. So after I retired I decided to learn the guitar. Through several recommendations, I started my endeavors with Phil Lashley. I could not have made a better decision! Phil is extremely talented and knowledgeable of multiple genres of music. He is patient, understanding, and encouraging. I enjoy my lessons so much that on those regularly scheduled days, all other activities (including my volunteering) take a backseat. Phil has been so patient and kind from the beginning, which has kept my son wanting to continue lessons for years. Phil keeps him engaged by picking songs my son is interested in, and flexibly switches gears when my son brings in a different instrument to try out… from acoustic to electric, resonator guitar to bass, Phil always has some cool music to try with them.
