Best music school ever 🙂 Amazing place to learn for kids and adults of all skill levels. I got the monthly membership and was able to take multiple different classes (Vocal, Guitar, Music Production) from the most wonderful staff including Julia, Neil, Spencer, and Maggie. All my teachers were incredible musicians and also people in general. They taught me invaluable skills at a great pace and they were also were super personable and supportive mentors to me.

My weekly lesson was something I genuinely looked forward to. A huge special thanks to the admin staff Irene, Zach, and Max for always being so kind, responsive and flexible in accommodating for rescheduling, finding substitutes, and cancellations 🙂

As an adult musician, my experience at Lake Highlands School of Music has been absolutely wonderful. I am moving to another state, but will cherish my time here as a student forever. Whether you are an adult or have a child interested in music, I would highly recommend signing up for classes here. Thank you for everything!!!

My son used Lake Highlands School of Music for percussion lesson intensives for about three months as prep for his Booker T. Washington HS audition. His insturctor was amazing and helped optimize my son's skill set. He was accepted to BT and continues to grow as a musician.

Both of my boys have gone to Lake highlands school of music for guitar and piano and have had phenomenal instructors. LHSM guided my son through the Booker T audition process and he was admitted for the guitar program under Neil and Zach’s instruction. Teachers are top notch, Zach is involved in making sure kids are matched with the right teacher. Couldn’t recommend them more!

I’ve always wanted to learn piano and finally decided to take the plunge this year. My husband grew up here in LH and knew Zach so I wanted to give LHSM a try. I was a little apprehensive given that I’m an adult student not new to music but new-ish to the piano. Zach spoke with me on the phone and assured me they understand how to work with adult intro clients and he set me up for a lesson with Abigail. It’s been a few months now and I really like Abigail, she’s tailored her teaching style to what I’m looking to learn (understanding that as an adult I have a specific interest in pursuing piano that’s different than a young child being introduced to instruments take the first time). Abigail has struck a great balance of working on music theory through improvisation and more traditional sight reading and working through songs while building on the theory. Abigail also incorporates some elements of therapy to help you really connect with the music. She’s a gem and I’m really glad to be her student.
