I am a Pediatric Dentist and my office is in Manhattan. I am glad to be able to work with many children that go to The Italian School. They always impress me for their happy demeanor, curious and inquisitive brains and manners. I am also lucky because I am often invited to go to La Scuola to talk to the classes about dental health. The facility is beautiful and elegant, very much in the Italian style and the teachers ( I meet them all) are very impressive. So much so that I felt the need to share by writing this review . La Scuola is an amazing, nurturing and happy place for children of all Nationalities.

Our family has been part of the La Scuola community for five years. We have been at La Scuola for nearly 11 years now, and I could not be more pleased with the quality of education that my children continue to receive. They are challenged academically with a dual Italian and American curriculum, and my eldest is now perfectly bilingual, despite not speaking Italian regularly at home. Students benefit from small class sizes and a nurturing environment, which is also culturally diverse. The IB program at the upper levels will undoubtedly enrich the already exceptional education that La Scuola has provided thus far.

This is a lovely private school with an IB program and highly qualified, dedicated, passionate faculty who are experts in their field. At La Scuola, we get the best of both worlds - a rigorous, academic and bilingual program taught with an inclusive, international approach to education, and the chance to enrich our Italian-American heritage. The children are given structured courses in each subject area and these are complemented with excursions to museums, science centers and historical sites, so that students get a fuller appreciation of the cosmopolitan and multi-cultural city of New York.

We are two surgeons at Columbia Presbyterian and have been thrilled with the rigorous academics and incredible community we found at La Scuola. We transferred from The School at Columbia in April 2021 because we were still remote
Our son has learned an incredible amount of content, learned a new language, and made lifelong friends in the past 2.5 years. We are IMPRESSED. Hidden Jewel in NYC. He runs into school every day and is learning with joy. Under new leadership La Scuola is embracing a more international footprint and our French neighbors have enrolled their 3 boys and are equally thrilled.

As a parent of two La Scuola students, I am grateful for how the school has enriched my children’s lives personally and academically. The dual American-Italian curriculum in Primary School and in Middle School has broadened my children's perspective on the world, and the small class size has allowed for them to receive individualized learning within a nurturing environment. A big "Grazie!" to all the teachers and staff and Head of School for always putting the students and their education and personal development first.
