Went with my girlfriend who is a big Britney Spears fan. The lady who runs the museum was nice and provides a quick tour. It was informative (at least for me who doesn't know everything there is to know about Britney) and enjoyable. She then left us alone to explore further by ourselves and take pictures. Nice collection with a variety of fun things including fan mementos.

To have your picture taken with wings you need to pay $3 cash, but she does accept further donations. I think you should give her a little extra to help do your part of keeping the place going if you're a big enough fan to come to Kentwood and see the place.

Also worth noting that the door was locked when we got there. There's clear instructions to ring the doorbell which we had to do twice. We might not have pressed it well enough the first time, we're not sure, but if you're there during the posted operating hours, don't panic if you don't get an answer immediately.

FOR BRITNEY FANS - IT’S CLOSED

British fan here visiting New Orleans. Drove up all the way from New Orleans today sadly to find that they’re moving buildings so none of the memorabilia is there at the moment.

The staff were super nice and said that they’re so frustrated as they keep trying to get Google to say they’re not open and feel terrible to keep disappointing fans.

They kindly helped me to find the address of Britney’s childhood home so that I could go see that instead and I also went and took a picture with the “Welcome to Kentwood” sign instead since I’d drove all the way from NOLA.

In all my drives to Kentwood, I've never successfully been able to enter the museum. The hours are weird, the contact information never works. I'd love to support this museum but they just don't let me. Drove today to visit, and was rudely told that the museum was moving to a different location and closed for a few months; wish there was a way to find that out before traveling for three hours. The staff involved weren't apologetic, and not very kind. Wish this town had something more special to honor our home state hero.

Me and my daughter stopped by for the Britney exhibit and it did not disappoint. The woman was so sweet. She walked us through the exhibit and told us all about everything. It is free to get in - which is what I read prior to going. However, there is a $3 fee for a photo with the wings and donations are appreciated. They do not take credit cards, so please make sure you go with some extra cash… don’t be like us. I plan on going back and donating to help support this museum. I’m so glad we went. I have been wanting to come here for many, many years now.

My husband and I had such a great time! Very warm and welcoming atmosphere. It's been my dream to see this place since 1999. I expected it to be smaller, it totally exceeded my expectations! Britney Spears exhibit felt like seeing an old childhood friend rather than a world famous star. It absolutely represents Britney's spirit and personality, in my opinion. Thank you again for the tour and for everything you do to keep the place running.

Great museum if you’re a Britney Fan, there’s also some stuff on the agricultural history and industrial history of Kentwood, but this didn’t really tickle my pickle.

The woman who runs it is called Fay, real character, banging lady.

This was such a nice place. I’ve wanted to go to this museum for a while, since I learned that it existed. Finally, on a trip to New Orleans, I saw that Kentwood was directly on my route, so I stopped on in. It was wonderful and very sweet. Most of the museum is dedicated to Britney Spears, but a good part of it is dedicated to the history of Kentwood. The museum doesn’t cost anything, unless you want to take pictures in front of a few special items from Britney’s tours.
Fay, the sweet woman who runs the museum, obviously cares a lot about the Spears family. I assume she does it out of the goodness of her own heart, which is why it’s only open a few days a week.
Charming, and special- those are the words I’d use to describe this Britney exhibit. Is it extravagant? No. But somehow it seems so fitting for the a Legend Britney Spears. A pop princess unlike any other, but somehow, she really is just like the rest of us.
