Julie is amazing at capturing maternity and newborn photos. We already had two young children that were also incorporated into the photo sessions—Julie was so flexible, so caring and so experienced with our little ones. She captured amazing photos even though our girls move at about a mile a minute. She is never rushed and walks you through her very thorough process to produce amazing results. She is not just a photographer, she is an artist. The resulting photographs are worth every penny.

Being new to Louisville, we selected Julie Brock Photography from a wide google search. Having a background in photography myself, Julie's body of work was appealing as it captured emotions beautifully. Right from our first contact, Julie was incredibly engaging, helpful, honest, and great with communication, which made our experience fantastic. We had maternity photographs and then a baby session with Julie. Julie provided sound advice regarding what to wear and how to coordinate as a family, and expert guidance when posing us making the photo shoots easy, fun and relaxing. We had the best experience with Julie taking our newborn photos! As a first time mom, I looked to Julie's experience, both as a mom and photographer, to lead me through the process and offer suggestions.

Our photoshoot was calm and relaxed. Her studio is cozy and comfortable. We were not rushed at all, able to take breaks as we needed and she even provided lunch - a wonderfully thoughtful touch for exhausted, new parents. 🙂

And the very best part was the outcome of the photos - absolutely stunning! I actually cried when I saw them. We've received so many compliments and are so grateful that Julie captured this moment in time for our family. We absolutely recommend!

We used Julie for our newborn pictures and the pictures are everything I wanted them to be and more. I loved that I didn’t have to worry about finding something to wear and was able to choose a dress from the dreamiest selection of dresses! I love that she captured our baby in all of his newness and every little detail that I never want to forget- from the swirl in his hairline, and his sweet little eyelashes, to all of his sweet tiny features. The pictures are beautiful and make time stand still when I look at them. She captured moments and the sweetness of a newborn perfectly. We will treasure these pictures forever. Julie has such a sweet momma heart that just shines when she works. We absolutely loved working with her!

Julie took care of my maternity and newborn photos. My biggest fear with scheduling both sessions was deciding what to wear. Julie provided a beautiful selection of dresses to choose from and also helped coordinate my husbands wardrobe. We did a fitting for the dresses before my photo session and she sent me links for items that would coordinate with my dress for my husband.

At the time of my maternity shoot I was almost 36 weeks and very physically uncomfortable and was worried my photos would show this. Julie was very patient with me and assured me our session was going well and she was not lying. My photos turned out beautiful!

When arriving for the newborn photos I was nervous being a first time mom. It was our first time out of the house and I had no clue what to expect. The whole process was so smooth and calm. We did have a hiccup when realizing that the dress we had initially picked out did not fit but Julie was very accommodating to this and allowed me to try on more outfits until we found one I was comfortable in.

Another huge plus was Julie putting together the actual wall pieces to hang in our home. She provided options for framed pieces, albums, and prints. We went with frames and they are of great quality!

The whole experience was a 5/5. I would recommend Julie over and over!!
