I was privileged to spend a magical week in Montelparo, Italy taking Julia's workshop. The stunning views of mountains, rolling patchwork fields -- all the way to the Adriatic Sea --, and charming mountain villages are unforgettable, as are the people we met and the amazing food we ate. Julia's perceptive ideas and gentle suggestions -- always appropriate for each of us, no matter our experience or style -- were an inspiration that make me want to grow as a painter. Trying to make a reality out of creating a "sense of place" in my painting remains an aspiration, but last week will always be a joyful memory and inspiration for me. Thank you, Julia!

I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to attend a week-long Watercolor Retreat with Julia in Le Marche, Italy. The week was stimulating in so many ways; daily trips to local points of interest, teaching sessions in the studio, two opportunities for painting "all'aperto", social time to exchange ideas with our fellow painters, and fun connections with the residents of Le Marche. What I appreciated the most was Julia's one on one guidance to me as a fairly new painter. I made a huge leap in my progress this week. Her paintings and those of the other participants are an inspiration to me!

Julia Morgan is the best watercolor teacher with whom I have ever taken a class. She clearly loves painting and she loves teaching, which is the best combination for a teacher. When critiquing our work in class, she used that opportunity to teach us about the many aspects of painting and she was also able to focus on positive elements of the artist's work. She came around to each of us when we were painting, and offered guidance for our painting. She is a delightful woman and teacher and I am looking forward to my next class with her!

Julia is an excellent teacher! Her lessons were well thought out, and built on what we had previously worked on. She took time with each student, gave wonderful feedback, she is an enthusiastic and supportive coach! I learned so much in one week! I will definitely take classes with her again!

Hi, I love Julia! Her teaching is grounded in skillful and fun exercises, which also encourage students to explore and breathe their own energy and exploration into their work. Her feedback is spot on and she supports dialogue, reflection and sharing between students in the class. I love the community she creates in these classes. I have taken many workshops with Julia and most recently took at class at Castle Hill Center for the Arts in Truro, MA. It was a delight and I continue to learn so much from Julia's thoughtful teaching!
