We just enrolled our daughter to John Muir Fundunental. After being on the waiting list for over a year. I dindt want her to go there but my wife did. I told any kid that is smart will be in any school no matter the crowd. That's how I think but my wife thinks she will do better in JMuir. So I was ok let's give it a try. And today after taking my daughter to school some I was talking to let's say like 10 parents. About the school all bad feed back. About teacher treating the kids horrible. Why they witness how teachers treat the students they were saying that mrs Quintanilla was one of the best teachers there. These are parents with kids in different grades and different races. They were also telling me that there are a lot of kids who bully other kids and only 4 to 5 teacher are the ones check all the kids in the morning I lunch And they cannot see all the what they are doing. And also there's a new principal who does not let any parent go inside with their kids to the library like they use to. No kid solute the flag no more. One student in the fifth grade told me that " we are loosing our dignity and respect" they are smart kids. They told the office see what they want to see only. Parents were also telling that before this new principal to be able to go in this school with their kids. They had to have an ID and provide their finger prints. which is fine I don't have any complain about that. But parents started to see the real side about the teachers and we're putting complaints in office. But principal and office staff never did. Anything. Is your kid safe. In school Is John Muir a # 1 school my daughter has one week in kinder garden and I'm having my doubts I wNt the best for her. But I don't want her to be I a school were teachers are hipocrits. for the students that I feel more bad. Is the students with SPECIAL CARE. all the bad feed back about those teachers.

John Muir is great school! I"m so bless to have my children attend this school. The are all grown up now, one has moved on to Jr High. and my second child is still attending he is in 5th grade. His teacher is Ms. Tantie ( great teacher) she was my daughter's 5th grade teacher last year. Glad my son got her this year. The teachers there have helped my children tremendously, my children are talented, they have a high academic, I could not ask for more. My two children have attended Muir since they were in Kinder. I have never had any issues with any of the staff, or principal, it was sad to see our old principal retired. Our new principal is great, very friendly my children love her. For John Muir's safety is a big thing. The school was nominated the second best school in Orange County. Who does not want the best education! They received the Blue Ribbon. My husband's company donated the banner. The education is amazing!Yes, Muir is a little more strict in regards to parents just walking in, but is OKAY! IS FOR our children SAFETY! I don't mind. I don't trust anyone, and with so many school shootings I like the new implementation about signing in to the office and providing a copy of your DL. I don't mind. just give yourself some extra time, the line is pretty long.
I want to thank ALL the staff at John Muir for their hard work and dedication to our children.

I was bullied repeatedly by a girl that lives about 2 hours away, way to far, and was not at least suspended. I still go to the school and she continues to give me dirty looks etc. I tell the principle and she still does nothing about it. Almost everyone I know at school has complained about her and they continue to do nothing about it. She told on my friends and I for looking at her because she coming near us and my friend got in trouble. I hope we can get better principles. Before this happened they used to say hi tome all of the time now whenever i'm near they go on their phones.

If you want to be treated as a potential danger to the kids in this school by the principal Laura Martin, or if you want your kid with a broken arm or leg because of the supervisors been more worried about their phones than doing their job, or if you want to be escort by the police because you want to cheer out for your kid in a school activitie and according to the principal you can't because you have smaller kids or because you have an stroller and just for being standing up cheering you might hurt a kid, or if your teacher doesn't require your help you are not allowed in the campus, or if you want to take lunch for your kids and have them received it after school, or if your child have an speech class or special accommodations but never received this services because the principal is more worried about nice furniture in the library than having a special Education teacher, or even better if your child have a medical condition that requires medicine specified in the emergency card and after a field trip have to take him to the E R because the teacher or nurse didn't give your kid the medicine then WELCOME TO JOHN MUIR FUNDAMENTAL!!!!! This is the place you are looking for.
