Love the teachers and the programs for the children. My son is hyper and moody, but the teacher's are great with him and always try to focus his attention on good morals and school work. Front desk doesn't communicate with teachers very well but they are friendly and always trying to help.

I have 2 children that attend HES i absolutely love this school. Mrs Doe the principle is hands down the best she is very involved and genuine cares about my children as well as all the students. The PreK ESE dept is amazing and i could not ask for a better team for my son. Ms. SantaCruz in KG i HIGHLY recommend her she has been a true blessing in challenging and helping my other child to preform at his best. I love her classroom set up and her students take home binders everything is organized and labeled in my opinion how every regular classroom should be.

Safety is a huge concern at this school and all the great teachers have left except two or 3. Also a child was fondled by a cafeteria worker (per news). Ms. R (first grade) teaches grammar but cannot even write properly. She also shows favortism in her class and cannot handle kids who challenge her. In addition the school nurse with the accent is extremely rude to the children and parents. She is unethical. The front office is also rude and not helpful.
On a positive note the extended day teachers and Ms. Turner and Ms. Waldebeis were wonderful teachers. I commend them.As for the physical appearance, it is a clean school that uses smart boards. They need to improve on safety and flush out the bad seeds who are only there for a paycheck.

I love the school it made my Elementary amazing I mean like pins point perfect I've been there for kindergarten -5th trust me take for me I had the best best expense if you look at this review and try to go off at to put you getting it trest me go to that school it has a great

Higlands Elementary is a place of fun Its so fun and awsome for kids to learn and our principle ms doe is always happy every kid in the school enjoy so i say take you child to this school and i promise he or she will have fun
