After pursuing several attempts to record my memoir of local history, called, "Kiss Your Elbow - a Kentucky Memoir," a friend at Unity Church told me of an acquaintance of hers who recorded through "Head First Media." This woman was very pleased with her experience there! I pursued this lead and this friend was delighted to share her successful experience with Jeff Hutchins at Head First. I was immediately impressed because Jeff answered the phone himself, upon my first call. He agreed to give me a free interview. Jeff's personal voice is so pleasant that it is almost musical. He knows how to make his clients voice sound almost as good as his! That is his expertise! Jeff gave me so much help and showed me so much patience in our work as we recorded, "Kiss Your Elbow - A Kentucky Memoir," that I went ahead and recorded my other two books with him: "Changing the Sheets and Opening a New Window." Not only does Jeff do a beautiful audio job with one's material, he also helps with marketing ideas. Jeff is an amazingly patient person who also very patiently helped me with many tangles in my own computer work, in order to market my books. I called several studios around town before choosing one to record my books. While everyone I talked to was willing to give me information about their services and rates, Jeff Hutchins at Head First Media was the only one who asked what my books were about and who seemed genuinely interested in my project.
Jeff is easy to work with. While his expertise is impressive, he made it easy for this "technologically challenged" author to do my part. Jeff is a director as well as a producer. I got some helpful input from him, and we often went back and re-recorded parts he thought I could do better. His aim is to put out an excellent product, even if it means working extra hours to get it. (This impressed me, because Head First charges by the length of the finished product, not the number of hours in the studio.)
When the recording was done, Jeff walked me through the process of getting each audiobook released, something I never could have done on my own.
I'm truly thrilled with the two audiobooks we've produced at Head First, and I'm very much looking forward to recording the final book in my trilogy.

Went to Head First Media and recorded a project allowing my kids to display their talents. Mr.Dez engineered and directed my song to a more universal professional sound. He encouraged and enhanced my general idea, he dealt with two 14 year old kids, a 4 year old, and a very active 1 year old.
