Highly recommend this organization. They have a great focus on community. They teach valuable life skills and do a lot to foster health confidence in kids. My 8 year old daughter has gained a lot from this experience. This is a special place. The coaches do a phenomenal job with the students. Happy to have such a gem in our local area.

I 1000% recommend Gracie Jujitsu Decatur!! I've been so lucky that my kids have been going to Gracie for years and they love it! the summer camps are fun for all ages and their classes teach them not only self defense but also self regulation, respect, and even helping around the house for their parents! I love their #1 rule of "avoid the fight at all costs" but I also love that my kids know how to defend themselves if needed. the owners are so very kind and members of the Decatur community and they are always sponsoring local sports and such. I am so glad our kids have been a part of the Gracie Decatur family!

Best bjj gym ever! I’ve been in several gyms but this gym has the best instructors I’ve ever seen. Jason gives huge attention to the development of every individual student. He doesn’t just give you instructions but insists on you to learn and gain the skills you need. I would highly recommend.

My son started eating vegetables because of Gracie Jiu Jitsu. 😂 but like really.
We have really enjoyed this community through and through for the three years my son has trained here. We tried a different facility/martial art in the area before coming here. It was fine, but I could tell that the coach didn’t really resonate with the kids. Here, I noticed an immediate difference. The program incorporates play, character development, and technical instruction in such a way that it really captivates the kids.
I also love that they have integrity and practice what they preach. They don’t cancel training for any ole reason like other places. It is very encouraging and inspires discipline and respect to the program. It has helped me teach my son to “eat well, sleep well, and train well” and that you do what you need to do for your health and wellness, even if you don’t want to! Using the character development aspect of their program, my son has been incentivized to: learn to hold to door for others, eat fruit and veggies daily, respect house rules, help clean around the house, and much, much more.

Our entire family trains at Gracie Decatur and the experience has been wonderful! My daughters love the Bullyproof program and it has helped them to grow with confidence, discipline and focus. The coaches are patient and make every class rewarding and fun. The adult classes are no exception and the instructors are highly skilled and passionate about what they do. We can’t say enough good things about the Brock family – they have created a friendly and supportive culture and have built a great sense of community.

This place is amazing.
Coach Jason and Alora Brock are legends. They have created a gym that is safe, clean, welcoming, comfortable, organized, and very effective and efficient at teaching Jiu Jitsu. The students are also very nice and easy to train with, no doubt because this gym and its owners attract those kinds of people. The instructors are very clear and helpful with their teaching, and it doesn't hurt that the Gracie Jiu Jitsu program is very organized, structured, comprehensive, and complete. As I have started this journey, I have felt like I'm joining a family. Not only would I highly recommend Gracie Jiu Jitsu, I would highly recommend this location.

I (nervously) joined the Gracie Decatur Women’s Empowered self-defense program a month ago, and it’s been the BEST decision! Why nervously? I’m middle-aged and have zero martial arts experience. Doubts like, “Am I too old? How will I keep up?” kept creeping in. But after just one introductory class, I skipped the 10-day free trial and signed up on the spot. What made it an easy decision?
- Incredible coaches – the coaches are expert teachers who truly care. They break everything down in a way that’s easy to follow and make sure you are learning at your own pace. They give real-time individual feedback so you can keep improving.
- A generous community – the class has a great mix of ages; everyone is so welcoming, encouraging, and helpful. They remind you that everyone, just like you, started from zero.
- A highly effective program – the 20 self-defense techniques are practical and powerful (they give you leverage against larger opponents).
As I kept coming to classes, I’ve realized this has been more than a self-defense class for me:
- I’ve been building confidence, improving mobility and coordination, and developing new mind-body connections.
