Solid 10/10 on product and personality for this place.
I'm new to game lair and just started collecting again. So far each pokemon box I've gotten from here has paid for itself (like Id ever sell my full arts)
And he's got a good selection of stuff.
To say I'm socially awkward would be a understatement but when I went in he made me feel very welcome and like I was talking to a friend!

Great place to go to! Great prices on X-Box’s & ext. Very helpful as well. Nothing is overpriced like Game Stop is

I absolutely love this place... a while ago I bought Minecraft on the 360... Kept having to go back to get buffed out... Most places would give up on it but these people didn't.. and I got me the game that I wanted... Excellent customer service... Ohh and the prices are good too!

I absolutely love this place... a while ago I bought Minecraft on the 360... Kept having to go back to get buffed out... Most places would give up on it but these people didn't.. and I got me the game that I wanted... Excellent customer service... Ohh and the prices are good too!

First time at this store, my wife and I looked around for about 15 minutes and the guy behind the counter was watching videos on his phone the entire time, didn't look up once to say hi, didn't ask if we needed help, just stayed on his phone. Decided not to buy anything since we didn't even get a hello from the employee. Won't be coming back.

I've been going to Game Lair since it was first in Sioux City. It's got a decent selection and the staff have always been helpful.

My only complaint would be that I'd like to see the display cases have the prices posted some place visible.

Otherwise, Sioux City is lucky to have them!

Here are the bad experience that I have received from them so far on just one item, PS3 slim slim console edition. 1st: they gave me a PS1 power cord and not a PS3 power cored 2nd: they don't have PS3 controllers in their store so I had to buy one off of Ebay and they still don't have them in the store 3rd: the console doesn't even read a PS3 physical disk.

As a retro store, they should have tested and made sure that the system had the right cords and assessories before selling it. It doesn't matter if it is a used or new item. Always check the product unless it is absolutely sealed inside the box. The person behind the desk said that it could be bugs and roaches inside the system. They said that if it is the laser or anything that needs replaced; I have to pay for that even after I only used it onces. That was last night. I did not have games or a controller for it until yesterday afternoon. That store doesnt have good selection for games that I want. I am not driving 65 miles for one thing unless they are willing to pay for my gas.
I have been playing video games since I was child every since sega genesis came out. I know how to take care of a system, video games, and its assessories.

Don't tell me that bugs and roaches are in the system. You guys need to know how to run a retro store better and acutally do your homework on how video game systems work. I will NEVER buy from that store ever again.
