Incredible! There were issues with UPS shipping delays when I sent my flute, leaving only a short amount of time before I needed to have my flute back. Rachel was more than willing to work with me, and got my flute back to me in time! Amazing service, highly recommend!

Rachel is simply amazing! She took my Gemeinhardt model 4W piccolo to an instrument I loved to one that is beyond my expectations. I had difficulty reaching the upper register almost since it was new. After Rachel touched it with her amazing hands and talent, I can easily reach all the notes and the tone is so much improved. Rachel Baker is a master flute technician. She will make your flute (and piccolo) feel so amazing, it practically plays for you. As a resident of the Boston area, I am lucky to have access to the greatest flute makers and repair people in the world and Rachel Baker is the best of the best. I have used her for years and I have suggested her to many colleagues, all of whom now exclusively take their instruments to her.

Rachel also works on my student's instruments with as much respect for their playing needs as those of professionals, an attitude I deeply appreciate. She is refreshingly honest and trustworthy about the cost and necessary repairs to get a student's instrument in excellent playing condition. I have found this quality to be a true rarity in the business. I trust her advice completely. I have had many out of state students mail their flutes to her and she is always responsive, timely, and does an impeccable job. In case you are reading this during the covid era, I should add that she takes every precaution in regards to health and safety. On top of all this, she is a lovely and wonderful person! I cannot recommend her highly enough for professionals and students alike.

Her work was amazing! I used to go to a different place for my daughter intermediate flute repair, and after a couple of years, I was not satisfied with their service, so I found her online and decided to give her a try. My daughter and I were so happy when we got the flute back. The sound got much much better and it was just beyond our expectations. I will continuously bring the flute to her for the future.
Driving was a little challenging, but it was worth it.
