Excellent 3-hour classes for kids and teens interested in film/TV acting over theater. My daughter is excited to attend and feels she is getting a lot out of each session. Sessions use scripts from TV and film and are recorded for use during the week. Brian is a professional actor excited to share his craft with students, and to help others succeed in the industry. Highly recommend!

I am so grateful we were lucky enough to stumble upon Brian's acting class. It is truly the highlight of my middle school daughter's week! Such a fun group and fantastic instruction. She emerges from the class beaming with excitement over the new scene study she just did, or the improv session that was hilarious, or just the pure fun of getting together with this group of people. Brian is the best; so generous with his time and skills and experience as a seasoned actor/director. I've taken many acting classes over the years and am so impressed by his approach. Even if your kid is not entirely sure about really pursuing work as an actor, Brian's class will offer so much in the way of boosting their confidence in public speaking, and being comfortable in a group. Highly recommend!

Our daughter has absolutely loved every minute of her 1.5 years experience studying in Berkeley with Brian Scott at Film Actors Café. Despite being a bit nervous to dive into this medium, our daughter has thrived there, and as parents, it has been lovely to watch her discover a new passion. Brian himself is 100 percent responsible for this, as he creates such a wonderful ambiance for the teen students that allows them to learn about their art and about themselves, all while being comfortable with exploring this in front of others. Brian has a vibrant and inclusive environment in which students are able to put themselves out there and be in a vulnerable new place, and learn greatly each time they do this.

Moreover, he is always willing to have the students be a part of the art, from selecting scenes to writing them and also thinking about best next steps for their artistic development – his “actors and filmmakers workshop” being just one example. He is a consummate professional, and his enthusiasm for his art has a wonderful effect on those studying with him.

While the acting world can be a daunting and its entry points unclear, I wholeheartedly recommend Brian and film actors café for any burgeoning film actors out there, as it is a brilliant place to study.

I am so grateful to have found Aeron Macintyre and his Screen Acting Workshops in Berkeley.  My ten year old daughter is an aspiring actress whose been participating in local theater programs for the last few years.  While she loves that, her secret inner passion is to be on the screen. Last Fall, we were searching for training that could compliment, and diversify, her acting portfolio and discovered this series. She's a devoted weekly participant in these Screen Acting classes and, every time, she comes away with new skills, techniques and understanding of her acting options.

Aeron Macintyre has provided valuable information on the business of acting (union/non-union), agents, resume development, and even did a photo shoot with several students to capture awesome headshots. I can't recommend Brian, and this series, more highly.
