Miss Emily and her music class is one of the best things I've found in Jacksonville for kids under 2! There isn't much for this age group and that's such a shame because we have a great time every week! And the post-music class nap is the BEST!

I started taking my son to Family Music and Movement when he was 7 months and we have now been going for over a year. The both of us love it now just as much as in the beginning. Mrs. Emily is a fantastic teacher and is great at keeping the attentions of all the little ones in class, and that is hard to do when ages range from 8 weeks to 2 years. My son always looks forward to class and we will be sad when he ages out of it. This class had already taught my son(who is currently 20 months) how to wait for the next activity and that has helped at home. Not only is he learning to love music but he is learning useful skills for when he gets older.

I took my son to Ms. Emily’s music class for over a year and we both LOVED it! It was our favorite activity of the week together. He’s over 2 now and we still sing the songs together! I hope to start taking my second baby to her classes soon! It is a great class to meet other moms and make baby’s first friends.

My daughter loved going to music and movement! This was her first structured class and it was very appropriate for her age! The structure set up, transitions and repetition were so great for her and prepared her for starting preschool. She was so sad to graduate out of this class, she still talks about Miss Emily and music class (7 months later) I can’t wait for this summer when I can bring my son!

My son went to music class with Ms. Emily from age one until he aged out when he turned 2. We were so sad to leave Ms. Emily! She has programming for little ones that is engaging, age-appropriate, fun and SAFE. (During COVID this was super helpful!) My son still remembers the animal noises and songs he learned in class months later! If you are on the fence sign up; since you book month by month it’s not a huge commitment! Thanks Ms. Emily for offering this to the community

We absolutely love these classes!! I take my 3 month old and 20 month old and it’s engaging and fun for both! The structure is the same each week so they know what to expect! Ms. Emily is the absolute sweetest and so wonderful with the kids. It’s a very low pressure environment where kids just explore and be kids! They aren’t required to just sit, they can roam and explore and get that energy out! And for my littlest he loves the noises and it’s such great exposure. If you are looking for a fun activity I would 100% sign up!

We love Miss Emily’s music and movement class! Our son benefitted from an extra year of music due to the pandemic. It provided great socialization opportunities, helped him develop a love of musicality, an elementary understanding of rhythm, and he still remembers his sign language alphabet! Miss Emily is so lovely and runs a great program. Worth every Penny and moment!
