Best school I have ever been too, really high academic ranking, their Math Department has allot of teachers that have degrees from top notch universities, so does the other departments, but Math Department is the best out of all. It is a very strict school about dress code, but yet again teaches modesty and discipline to students, teachers like I have said are well educated and are always their to help any student at any time, an excellent school to go to, I'm proud to go to Granada and I'm class of 2015.

So I was a former student here and honestly I couldn’t stand it they preach about fairness and other Bs but I would get in fights all the time for no reason I didn’t even start them because I honestly just wanted to go home and sleep but I would get in trouble for apparently starting it they never even bothered to listen to my side of the story! You can’t even get good sleep because you have so much work and so little time but they also want you to get eight hours of sleep! Heck my locker didn’t even work! I brought it up to the locker people they didn’t do anything about it and just let it be (B129) they only reason I’m not giving it one star is because of the course selection and I liked my sixth period class the teacher was nice the students where loud but nice and the food was better then normal schools so I’ll give it that! But really if you like your life being dictated then it’s a prefect school!!!

My experience at this school so far has been okay. But I’m only in the iGranada program, and it’s been 2 years for me. Originally I wanted to go to the main campus, but they said they didn’t have space left for me. According to them, once they had space i can transfer over to main campus. Well I’ve tried asking a few times to switch to main but they would say they didn’t have space. I have 2 years left at this school and i doubt they’ll let me switch to main campus. So I’m basically stuck in iGranada. If you’re not able to pace yourself, then I don’t recommend this program for you. But otherwise this school is okay.

I'm getting firsthand experience at this school as a freshman and although it's strict, it's pretty damn good. I don't know about the other comments here, but there are rarely any fights and not yet have I seen any bullying. The Deans watch you with the eyes of a hawk and although they're strict, they're just doing their jobs as Deans (they're doing a helluva great job too). The teachers seem to get along well, no hatred or resentment from any of them being directed towards other teachers. All my teachers on all my periods are extremely helpful and willing to help me and everyone else. There are some potheads hanging in the plaza after school smoking joints, but there is absolutely no smoking on campus, and that's is fine by me. Racism? There is a constant use of the 'n' word, but it's not used as an offensive or derogatory term towards Blacks, it's used used like the way you use the word 'dude'. We have also just recently won the National High School Decathlon, the third time in a row! Granada Hills Charter High School is a excellent school to go to.

One of the best high schools in San Fernando Valley! People are always trying to get there children to be accepted to go to GHCHS if they don't fall into the area for the school. Sure there will be racist people there, but is there a school that doesn't have racist people? And the teachers must be the best, since the students rank among the best, and the education received is better then any other public school. If you hate Granada High, please take a look at Kennedy High, then talk!

Good teachers, yet the school doesn't care a bit about student and the administrations lie every 2 words so every time you'll go they will change their word and say something different. If you try to put your kids here be careful of what they say because all their promesses are not trustworthy.
They care a lot about their rank but for the rest lucky people be treated correctly over will be played with other and other again.
Enroll as soon as possible and dont loose time or they ll waste your child time in igranada, where they send off rejects. Or else go to an other school where they will give attention to child.

Students are rude. Just straight off the bat rude. Especially their sportsmanship, I remember that the cheerleaders would "boo" and say "just stop" while laughing at others from another school and just attempt to bring them down, football players would rage and think the other team would cheat if they lost a game because they think they are too good to lose (yes, their sports teams are good, but no reason to be immature and end up hurting someone emotionally), AND just in general people on their sports, typically the guys, just mock the other opponents. And oh yeah, someone graffiti'd somewhere on the campus that "Poor people should die." Educational and athletic-wise, it's a good choice school. Mental stability, and bully-free-zone = nope.
