Stopped by for lunch and really enjoyed the visit. Anything with the bourbon BBQ sauce was incredible. Service was above and beyond. If Leslie is your server, you’re in for a treat.

The new kitchen is complete so food service was quick and good.

Check out this spot where a local neighborhood bar meets a tourist attraction! With vintage signage and random pieces of movie memorabilia, it's a visual treat. The KY Bourbon BBQ bacon chicken sandwich is beyond delicious, and the waitress was incredibly accommodating to our party of 12. Plus, the hand-dipped ice cream was a hit with the kids!

A must stop! Food, service, atmosphere is great. I had the Ernies burger and it was great! Definitely leave room for a scoop of ice cream! Salted Carmel!

I have visited this place twice now, and both times have been wonderful! They have a selection of Graeter’s ice cream to satisfy your sweet tooth, and we enjoyed their loaded nachos and Philly cheesesteak for lunch. This is also a great place to stop with children because they offer a variety of activities (bowling, pool, games, and occasionally live music). Highly recommend checking out this unique spot!

Ernie's Tavern and the Double Dip ice cream shop, attached to Ernie's, are must-see places. Both places are owned by a big-time Hollywood movie producer. Both places can only be described as a movie buff's museum.
My wife and I both had pulled pork sandwiches with a side of french fries. The sandwiches were described as being smoked pulled pork which arrived with bread & butter pickles. I must say the pickles were the highlight of the two items. My wife and I both felt like the pork was just commercial frozen smoked pork heated up in the kitchen. Can't say much about the fries either. They were a little soggy/limp, but okay. The Cole slaw which came with the sandwiches was a home run. Sorry, we didn't try different items from the menu. If we had, maybe we could have found something better. We will try something different the next time and I'll update this review if need be. Right now, I would say this is more of a lunch place than a dinner place.
We had ice cream from the Double Dip shop which is attached to the tavern. The ice cream and the serving sizes were great. Service in both areas was great.
All in all the food wasn't much to talk about, but it's still a must-see place because of the movie memorabilia, games, and bowling alley. You will be in awe the moment you walk into either places. I'm giving the food three stars, but a four-star overall review because of the atmosphere and the uniqueness of both Ernie's and the Double Dip.

The building is great and the decor is fun and unique. The food was prepped in a corner on a hot plate of the bar. The burgers were microwaved from being cooked maybe a day or two prior. It was dry and hard. Took home to give to the dogs .

Bloomfield Kentucky is a hidden treasure. Happen upon by a lucky conversation. Ernie's great atmosphere and Double Dip Ice cream and bowling is amazing. Nettie Jarvis Antiques makes this small town destination a win! A treasure of a town to be explored!
