Sl450 went into their shop for an oil change. One week later all engine oil spills out of engine while I was driving it and the engine seized, totaling the car. Mike said it was the car makers, and my own fault. An incredibly stressful situation and needless to say I will not be returning to Enginuity.

Edited to respond to owner:

1. I have spoken with different Mercedes dealers over the past few months and none of them have ever encountered a cam plug failure in the way that you described or based on looking at the failed part.
2. I had my service done at your shop on 8/1. My car suffered catastrophic engine failure on 8/11. Less than two weeks after your service.
3. Your ‘solution’ that you offered would have exceeded the value of the car
4. The ‘smells’ and ‘check engine light’ came on all at once. There was absolutely no way for me to know that the engine was hemorrhaging oil.
5. Simply put, you were the last people to touch the engine and then it failed. My biggest mistake was having the car towed right back to your shop upon failure. I lost any hope of getting a fair analysis after that.

"I’ve been a loyal Enginuity customer for many years, but I wanted to share a recent experience. In July, I requested a repair quote from Mike via email. When I didn’t receive it, I followed up with Andrew, who kindly reassured me that it was still on Mike's radar and that he would check on it. However, it has now been over a month, and since I am no longer in Dennis, I haven’t been able to follow up further. I’m curious if anyone else has noticed any recent changes in their service."

Enginuity are absolute pros, these guys are the only ones I would choose on the Cape for German auto repair. They did a lot of work on my bmw E46 m3 and it is running perfectly even years later. They are transparent, responsible, and highly reasonable. I have dealt with a lot of mechanics, but if you are looking for an expert on older German cars look no further.

Coming down to the Cape from upstate NY the check engine light on my Volvo lit up. The car got us here, but in 3 days we needed to return for our daUghter’s wedding. I can't tell you how wonderful it is to work with professionals. I had a vibration sound coming from front of the ML430. It persisted even when the engine was off. I suspected it was something with the ABS system and brought it to Enginuity, Inc. on my way into the office this morning. Michael was able to immediately take a look at it, listen to it, and pull codes. He diagnose the problem and determine that it was in fact the ABS Relay that failed and was arcing. The relay was replaced, and I am back on the road.
I appreciate experts and have always believed that you can have the best or you can have the cheapest, but you only get to pick one. In this case, I not only had the best, but the price to Fix It was very reasonable.
