Sarah is such a wonderful piano teacher! She taught piano for 3+ years to my 2 kids in NYC. She is so talented and warm, and that translated to the kids learning and enjoying their lessons with her. They progressed on piano playing and theory. She helped with voice when they wanted to sing while playing; and she helped support their creativity with starting improv and composing. We're lucky to have Sarah teach and support them on their musical journey.

Sarah is the best! My daughter studied piano with her for the past three years in Brooklyn, and in spite of the challenges of remote teaching during the pandemic when everyone was complete burned out on zoom, Sarah managed to do a great job teaching her the fundamentals of piano technique and music reading, while instilling in her a great sense of rhythm and musicianship while doing a bit of voice teaching on the side as my daughter developed an interest in singing and playing at the same time.

As a professional musician myself, I always appreciated Sarah's musicianship and willingness to take their piano lessons into whatever musical territory my daughter (or I) wanted while making sure that her playing was progressing, and I also always enjoyed my conversations about music with Sarah. My daughter loved her lessons with Sarah and would absolutely still be studying with her if she were still in New York.

Furry Fridays

Sarah is the zenith of what it is to be a understanding and instructive teacher. I am to musical competence, what cyanide is to a healthy meal. Yet despite all my short comings, Sarah set a foundation in my short time with her to lead to my own apoge. The only negative thing I have to say of her is she ran off to LA, leaving her best student. On a serious note, would recommend. I rate her 10 Pianos out of Piano.

Sarah taught piano to our 2 kids for years starting at ages 4 and 6. She is unequivocally terrific: talented at performing, arranging, and composing; respectful and responsible; and wonderful at teaching children. She helped ours through lesson plans starting from the very basics, leading into chord theory and improvisation. She thoughtfully helped them select and prepare pieces, including sometimes creating level-appropriate arrangements of the pieces they wanted to play from scratch. Her enthusiasm and expertise can't be overstated. We and our kids were very sorry to lose her to the West Coast!
