Definitivamente la peor escuela. En una semana 7 y 8 peleas y al proximo dia los estudiantes q propiciaron dichas peleas muy normal en la escuela como si no hubiera pasado nada!!!! XD

I've attended the school for 3 years, I'm a sophomore right now and I would say yes the school has its down sides but it's the kids who make the school look bad. The teachers are nice I never had a problem with any of them, they are persistent because they care and if I didn't have dean's and teachers chewing me out I would still be the same trouble maker. I hope I can volunteer soon!

i love my school, some might complain about it but during my three years in discovery it has always felt like my second home. The teachers are nice and informative, some students are loud but also very kind at times. I meet my best friends there and as much as I'm excited for high school i will miss it.

And for gosh sakes there ain't fights all the time! Admitting they do happen but there aren't as many as people say. I adore my school, i hate it when people say its a bad place.

This school isn't something you'd want to go for. People there are very discourteous and inconsiderate- and very judgmental. However, if you have no choice then just focus on your education that you recieve and try your hardest. Avoid rude people, bullies, drama, etc. Don't let anyone make you feel vulnerable/or view you as a vulnerable person. The school is quite big and you'd have to go outside to go to your next class. The school's behavior is absurd, extremely callous. Fights are frequent nowadays, and the bullying issue hasn't abated a budge. It's not a very safe environment for students. But please, if you have no other choice don't stress or strain yourself. Like I previously said, people don't matter. Clothes don't matter (even though there are uniforms) and how you look doesn't matter. Come as you are and strive for your best! Study your hardest and try to get awesome grades. For recommendations; I'd recommend a school in Orlando FL- Chain of Lakes Middle School. It's an outstanding and excellent school. No racism, no terrible teachers, all teachers are very supportive indeed. Or, Horizon Middle School in Kissimmee Poinciana! Try Osceola, too. I'm sorry if you had a problem with this Discovery Intermediate school, I'm sure everyone has. I wish you the best luck and continue being beautiful, intelligent, and amazing! Good Luck (:

i rather be home schooled. this school is bad i remember last month in the cafeteria Mr. Dunn said that if no had a referral last week we were able to dress down or use our phones in lunch and Mr.Dunn said there were over 300 referrals in the month of April omg this school should get better teachers, do not enroll your kid here if your looking to have your kid get a good learning education because the teachers allow kids to be on there phone and they assign work without helping your kids on what to do. please i regret coming to this school

Like everything else in life... If you ignore all negativity and focus on your goals and accomplishments, everything is possible. My child attended this school throughout 6th and 7th grade (and will be attending 8th grade) and she has always been successful and learned new things. She avoided bad crowds, fights, and gossip and kept focus on her studies and goals. The teachers were very nice and supportive and she passed all of them with honors. I am very proud of her because she got to experience peer pressure and surpassed them all, she is now ready for what the real world has to offer and maintain herself throughout her life. Success is an individual accomplishment and only the strong ones succeed. Overall the school is OK, a lot of uneducated, disrespectful kids but that is something that starts first within their home, not school. So the parents are the ones to blame here not Discovery Intermediate.

I don't understand why people like to bash this school. If you had a bad experience because you got in trouble for not following the rules, don't blame the school, blame yourself. Most students are nice and want to do well at school. The teachers care, especially if you are lucky enough to qualify for the AVID Program. The school also has plenty of technology in the form of laptops and iPads. Parents, visit the school, don't just believe what a few disgruntled parents and students have written.

Im in 7th grade and so far I like it. Yes teachers can be mean at times but thats all on you bc if your nice to them and do your work like your told to they wouldnt be mean bc im very respectful and i do all my work and the teachers have been nothing but nice to me what i dont like are the deans like sorry but having one yell at you is not nice, i got dress coded for wearing sandals (i didnt know they werent allowed bc in my old school we could) and one of the deans yelled at me and sent me to the office, imagine your in the students place and someone yells at you for something why cant they just pull you aside and tells you politly im gonna see how these 2 last years go...
